Andrew Great Sliders. i had the most fun playing live so far this yr. the game was smooth and the computer actually ran plays more then with the default sliders and FG% are good from what i can tell so far. 8-)

Am using playmakers sliders, I only control 1 player on the team and using the Bulls I use Gordon. We've no inside presence and in the last game vs lowly Atlanta they took 29 free throws in a game on 5 min quarters.

Too many here. I took 6 I think.

Have lowered the foul sliders. When they're even I win my fair share.

- high FG% especially opponent team;

- generally few fouls;
- opponent teams rules on offensive reb.;
- too many turnovers.

that's my impression....by the way i like this sliders for its quite realistic stats...

I have found that most of those problems can be with the same solution: become better at playing the game. For example:

- high FG% especially opponent team;
learn to stick on your man better and to contest all jump shots, its all about timing there
- few in-air collision fouls, in consequence there are few FT;
learn how to draw fouls. I have worked on it, and can get to the lin 12-14 times a game with some guys.
- generally few fouls;
as I said before, learn to draw fouls, and maybe play more aggressive defense, which will probably raise foul levels, and help decrease the opponent FG%
- opponent teams rules on offensive reb.;
This is as simple as learning to box out using the analog stick, and timing your jump. It really helps if you dont try to block every shot, because you get caught out of position. Also, it is alomst impossible to grab a rebound when you are underneat the cylindar.
- too many turnovers.
Take better care of the ball. Sounds like you need to be a little more aggressive on defense, and a little more conservative on offense.

tnx a lot for your suggest, as i said i like playmaker's sliders for its realistic stats, i didn't try andrew's sliders yet but i think they're good too because i've tried his sliders every year and everytime got the game so much better than other tweaks around. i'm so pleased of seeing guys working to improve nba game experience. thank you so much!!!

Hi
Anyone can tell me if Andrew's sliders get low scores setting 12 min, superstar level?

Sat Apr 29, 2006 3:16 pm

That's what they're designed for. They can only go so far though; for example, if you run and gun you're going to get high scores no matter what.

Andrew, sliders are great. (Y)

There's no need to double post.

I don't claim my sliders will work perfectly for absolutely everybody. If your sliders work out better for you and for others, great.

Sun May 07, 2006 3:57 pm

Hey andrew try it :P :P its good you know :P .

Sun May 07, 2006 3:58 pm

Thanks, but I find my sliders work for me just fine.

Sun May 07, 2006 4:05 pm

just try it for 1 game only, then go back to your sliders. i like to hear comments from the experts :P

Sun May 07, 2006 4:13 pm

I might try lowering my field goal sliders a bit further but otherwise, I'm quite happy with the results I get from my sliders. Thanks all the same.

okay :lol:

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what's so amusing.

In English, please. Sorry, but we've had a lot of trouble in that area.

Mostly familiarity and the fact I prefer PC gaming.

Andrew, very good sliders. Game became very realistic with them, at least I can play 12 min quarters w/o going into 120's or 130's!

pls post your boxscores, I noticed that your long range shooting is quit low, did you made a reasonable 3's in that setting like in real nba game,,
i think it should be at least 39 to 40 to hit a reasonable 3s to make the game real challenging and realistic to the fact that the real ballgames hit in that range quietly good speciallythis season where 3s is a major weapon to any team, i think most of the team try to use this weapon to their advantage,,

Glad to hear it. :) I am going to try reducing the short range and mid range sliders a little more though, a couple of people have suggested that.

I cant give you box scores right now,But you can try it if you want.And you can then answer your question.But the 3 pts shooting is pretty good to me thanks for the comment.
