Van_Smak wrote:WOW....NICE JOB WITH THIS PATCH GUYS!!!! REALLY COOL!!!

The only question I have is which team's courts we updated. I know the Raptors was because I usually play as them but that seems to be the only court that changed when I installed the Full Package. The Boston Celtics court still says Boston Celtics on the end baselines and not TD Banknorth Gardens. I played an away game in Minnesota and I think its that court that is supposed to have the colored in three point circle, but that wasn't changed either.

Just wondering if not all of the teams courts were supposed to be changed or not, but if so is there a way for me to make sure they install properly.

Thanks

just grab the court files from the nba live 08 patch section
trust me
your game would look GREAT!

Oh yeah, these are my recommendations for the players that either should get a FSS or not

Josh Smith- Should get stopper
Stephon Marbury- No playmaker.......He's overrated
James White- Not a highflyer, should be Carl Landry....
Rudy Gay- Highflyer
David West- Inside Scorer, should not be a reason....

So far those are my suggestions, Andrew...... :D

As I explained to you via PM, it comes down to the game calculating whether or not a player qualifies for FSS. I'll take a look at those players regardless, but are you suggesting James White should not be a Highflyer? If so, you're way off and I highly recommend checking out YouTube for some entertaining footage.

Not to mention put it between the legs or throw down a windmill from out there. The Rockets have just signed him to a multiyear deal, so hopefully he'll be in the NBA contest next year.

in my view, james white is not a highflyer in nba live 06 because he cannot simply just drive it in and dunk it over 2-3 guys ex. Dwight Howard, Josh Smith
People might just abuse the system more because he is a highflyer and start scoring 30 points, totally unrealistic
Keep his dunk pack, but for the most part, he is not a freestyle superstar in a video game
At most he does crazy dunks when he is in the open court.......

You dont have to agree with me Andrew and Fumanchu

you have a point there....but does a highflyer (freestyle superstar) mean his shots have a higher percentage of going in even with 2-3 defenders in front of him? i'm not making a point with this question...this really is a question...hehe...haven't played live06 for a long time...

Not really. Not to the extent that he can't be forced to make the midair switch to a layup attempt.

so making him a highflyer doen't mean making him a superstar...just the upped ratings to become a highflyer...am i right?

Correct. I suppose you could take advantage of his Highflyer FSS but then if you dump it into the post and try for a dunk/layup every time there's a lot of average players you get could get All-Star stats with, regardless of whether they've got FSS or not.

and when I do get a good chance to at least get at the dunk.act file, I'm going to remove the cheese standing dunk and that reverse layup

actually, I kinda hopefully plan to bring over some of the shots from the 3pt contest to lower the height of jumpshots so the defenders have a better chance of blocking it.

and bounce passes from outside to the post instead of always throwing a lob will be a good idea too...

yep, already had that one fixed, although, I am pretty sure why EA had it as a lob, bounce passes seem to get kicked/intercepted really easiliy

great....cant wait for that... (Y) (Y)

is there a possibility that you may know a way to make importing bmp's to the bsho and bshor of a live06 shoe file faster instead of importing one-by-one using FSHx?

using a batch file with fshline

do you know how to use fshline? cause if now, honestly, the easiest way is to just keep using fshx, especially since you are so far along

Which reverse layup are we talking about, the one for Outside Scorers or the one that's triggered under the basket?
