Well, yes, that much I had figured out. ;) I'm just trying to find out what exactly is different and causing that recalculation since as far as I can see I've covered all the bases and assigning a dunk package that's compatible with the FSS moveset should not result in the dunk packages being changed when you switch between FSS movesets. At first I thought maybe it was the custom aiact.viv file but as I said, it happens with the original too. I can't see what else is different but I'll keep testing and comparing the converted database with the original players.dbf file.

Good news and bad news: the good news is that there's definitely no issue with the converted roster causing the dunk packages to change like that. I've tested the default rosters with the default aiact.viv file and the same thing happens when you change a player like Ben Gordon from a shooter to an Outside Scorer, even though the Outside Scorer moveset will actually work with his default dunk package.

The bad news is, this means it's an issue with the game that I can't seem to do anything about, so it might happen if you mess around with the Freestyle Superstars movesets yourself. However, if you choose to leave them as they'll be set in the rosters, there shouldn't be any problem and Outside Scorers like Kobe, T-Mac and Vince Carter should have the High Flyer dunk packages as well.

What happens if the CPU recalculates the FSS players over the years when one plays Dynasty mode? Will that affect their pre-assigned FSS ?

It may assign a dunk package that isn't suitable, ie giving High Flyer dunks to Allen Iverson. There's nothing I can do about that though, it's an issue with the game rather than the converted rosters.

Andrew, because Krstic signed for Oklahoma, if you put him in the game again, will his name will be pronounced by commentator?

i'll answer this for Andrew...his speech file is still there so his name would be pronounced

Indeed, in fact I've already moved him back into the Free Agents in anticipation of him being on an NBA roster again, either the Thunder or the Nets if they decide to match the offer sheet.

Andrew, why is it that the announcer says "number 23" when in fact, Mbah a Moute's jersey number is 12?

When I was originally created him he must have had number 23, so it's assigned the number 23 SPEECHID. Thanks for the heads up.

You can try to uninstall the program and re-install it.

You can also try deleting all the files in the workingdb and currentdb folders so that the game will refresh them with the default files.

thx, what could hav caused ds database prob?also i noticed some players r still messed up in the beta art pack, hope by d tym d stable releases r done it would b ok, um how done s d project?20%, 30%?thx...

Difficult to say what caused your problem, but database problems are usually the result of invalid values or databases being corrupted by being saved incorrectly (usually when you use a program other than DB Commander or similar DBF editor to edit them).

Yes, the beta pack's art is not perfect; that's why it's a beta. I can't really put a percentage on the project's completion but suffice to say it's really not ready to release because the art still needs work. The rosters themselves are fine, I've got all the issues sorted and am just keeping them to up to date along with the 07 and 08 updates (since I use batch files to quickly update the other two when I've finished updating one).

Some players have weird arm colors too. On the upper part (from shoulder to elbow) its colored flesh, while the other half its dark brown. Example, Eric Gordon of the Clippers and DJ Augustin of the Bobcats...Hope you can fix this Andrew :mrgreen:

You just have to download FSHX and double the resolution of arm_tat.fsh files.

Anyway, the more urgent problem regarding this art pack is that some players are unable to use headbands or have irregular headbands.

Indeed, it'll be fixed up for the proper release. I would agree that resolving the headshape is the priority as it's the bigger job.

Andrew, is it possible to make commentator say Gasol when the ball is in Marc GAsol's hands, because it is already used in Pau Gasol's case?
And will the player ages in the final release will be moved 3 years back so it will be more realistic and players will be older in the game?

06 doesn't have the list of common names but if someone wants to make a custom audio file using Audy 06 we'd be happy to use it in the project. We'll probably be adjusting the ages or including a batch file for people to run if they want to do it themselves.

Sorry, just to add to bringing players' age 3 years back. Player who are currently rookies or in their early 20s, should their age be adjusted to 3 years younger, that means they will be in their late teens. One of the things we will see in the later years is that as they enter into adulthood, their height will increase, which may not be accurate anymore.

Of course, we can re-edit their height again...
