Sebastian Telfair is listed as a SG in this patch.

Juan Dixon is a SG and he is currently playing alongside Steve Blake as a PG
Then Nate for the second rotation has Telfair as PG and Jack as SG

Telfair once played with Blake and Blake was playing SG but that didn't work at all which is why they're back to the Blake and Dixon rotation.

Also idk but I think 84 primacy for Zach Randolph is a little too high. I just simmed through a season with 76ers and saw that Zach Randolph averaged 37.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.01 blocks, and 1.14 steals. He of course won MVP.

Actually, no, not at all. And if you want proof, just ask.

Thanks for the updated roster (Y)

You have every right to be angry Andrew. Dammit people, if you want something changed, DO IT YOURSELF!

I hate to bring this up again, but I'm hoping you didn't miss my earlier post in your frustration. I tried to be reasonable in my suggestions. :)

Thanks 4 advance

You either need to edit the teamgear.dbf again and add the lines, or copy a teamgear you edited to the roster save folder. Whenever I edit any .dbf and add things I'd like to keep, I save a copy of that .dbf somewhere else so I don't lose what I've done.

first off, i just want to say that i am extremely sorry about this remark i made. i had just looked at it and 40 i thought was ridiculously low. i should have in no way been such a fucking moron about it. i do know what i am talking about though i have not missed a pistons game all year. i believe 80 is too high i thing high 60's or lows 70's is good. sorry again about being a complete moron. that and rasheed was the only problem i found in the patch that i believe to be your best one yet. you do excellent work and it would be a disappointment to me and everyone else for you to stop making these awesome patches. sorry again bro. peace out.

I can understand if that's toward people who aren't nice about their requests or people that make outrageous requests.

But...I posted in here to help the patch and make it even better. I already did infact change it in my game, but if I didn't say anything about it how would my find benefit this patch if I kept quiet about it.

Tue Mar 28, 2006 11:07 am

No, that was aimed at those who were getting pissed off. You're posts are solid requests. Someone said it before, and I'll repeat it. If you want a change, provide some solid stats or knowledge to make the change. Anytime I suggest something, I always back it up with stats or specific knowledge of something other than stats. Things like 'he hit 5 threes, boost him' are pointless.

Try to put some effort into your suggestions to make it easier on Andrew, guys.

Appreciate the support as always Cable Guy. I did see your suggestions sorry, I've made a note of them. :)

I wasn't sure what to do there as I noticed Telfair has been starting alongside Blake for a few games recently. Sometimes I change the primary position to stop automatic roster reordering. I'll change him back though.

Yeah I've noticed that too. I'll try to balance it out checking the other Blazers' players (that's the thing, even if 84 isn't the highest in the game if it's clearly the highest on the team that will still happen) as well. I really hope this Primacy stuff is kinder to me in NBA Live 07. ;)

Tue Mar 28, 2006 12:21 pm

No problem 'Drew. I hope more than the Primacy is kinder to you.

Tue Mar 28, 2006 12:35 pm

I don't know about that, it's at the top of my Wishlist as far as patching issues are concerned. ;)

Sorry, missed that in my previous post. Teamgear.dbf is one of the files that can be substituted easily as it doesn't contain any season data and updates aren't as common. As CG said, easiest way is to back up the one you've modified and overwrite the one the patch provides once you've installed the latest version.

Overall the patch has made some nice adjustments, among them is making cassell an outside scorer and upping wallace...... but i think rasheed and tayshaun need to be stoppers. As i'm sure you're aware, there is no obvious number one man on the pistons as they are the perfect 5 man team. As a result of this, their stats will be spread out among them, therefor, defensive stats wont be as strong with the pistons even though every single person on that team is an excellent defender. I Think most would agree that tayshaun and ben are the best defenders on the team, so i think if you're only feeling about doing minimal changes to FSS abilities, at least give tayshaun his stopper back.

As with joe johnson, i dont feel he needs the stopper rating at all, but his ability to score has been proven this season, and if guys like sam cassel or rip hamilton have scorer (both of which are well deserved), johnson should be a scorer as well. His averages are high enough to warrant it, and he has had more than one 40pt outburst this season.

Thanks Andrew :D

Something really weird happened in that dynasty also...

2 years into it the Houston Rockets had a defending mvp, Yao, and Tmac...and yet in the offseason they signed LeBron James. I was like...omfgwtf...so I went to see how this could even be possible...and Tmac's salary was 0. I hadn't edited any dbf and in any other season he had a regular salary..any idea on what happened?

Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:40 pm

Its called the T-Mac bug. It happens some times during dynastys. Players getting resigned for $0. I've also seen KG get signed by that much and i was like lol KG taking a pay cut to try and win a championsip.

Tue Mar 28, 2006 4:46 pm

Ive seen it before, in my case to rockets signed Tracys Cuz Vince

What I am aware of is how the stats/sim engine works and that it won't in fact work out that way. I will not boost ratings out of proportion to what they are intended to achieve simply to give a player FSS abilities. I fail to see how a player averaging less than half a block a game is an Inside Stopper; I won't be changing it back. End of story.

But my main concern was the absolute rudeness and ingratitude that was displayed earlier in this thread. I will not tolerate it again. That's the last I'll say on the matter.

^^ agreed, prince is a good defender a defensive awarness rating in the high 80's along with good foot and hand speed will still make him a good defender. you dont need to black or steal to be a good defender. the same can be said for billups yes his one of the best point guards in terms of defence in the nba but HE DOES NOT warrant an outside stopper ability.

Wed Mar 29, 2006 2:47 am

One thing to remember guys:

You have the kiddies, who like Arcadic the games.
Then yo have the muture crowd who wants the game to be as realistic as possible.
Seperate the two, always respect everyone's opinion, but only consider the opinion of those who want the true representation of a NBA Basketeball SIM!

Hey, that is why we are here and that is why Andrew put in work.

It's okay to disagree, but there is a way to disagree. 1st and foremost, get the facts before you attack someone. The facts are at www.NBA.com, it's called players stats.

Tayshun is not a shot blocker nor is he a ball stealer, but he is a hell of a defender who will occassionally get a steal or a huge block. He is no more or no less.

Lets talk about the big banger Rasheed Wallace and his remarkable post game! He has a decent post game (In my opinion he is rather lazy, instead of backing down his defender he'd rather shoot over them), but what skills do he utilize the most? Do you see him facing up defenders and shooting over them? (Not a Jedi mind trick) It is what it is, that's why he shoots threes. At the same time, is there a big man in the league that can gaurd him?

In closing, put in the time and the effort in to making a roster patch. Remember, he ( Andrew) is only using excell or Commander Pro. He has to go through each player individually, sounds like alot of fun? Then do all the testing, over and over again, which takes alot of time. Then release your own patch! I

It´s hard to say who is the Suns´ starting Center (if every player is healthy and active)..
When Amare was out, it was Diaw..

But in last night´s game they put Amare on Center, Marion on PF and Diaw SF.

Wed Mar 29, 2006 11:26 am

Yeah, I noticed Amare being listed as the starting centre in yesterday's game, but now it appears he's out again so I'll have to see what they do in between now and the next update.

Wed Mar 29, 2006 3:08 pm

possibly for the season :D

Wed Mar 29, 2006 4:38 pm

I heard about that too. Anyway as I said, I'll have to wait and see what Phoenix does before I can adjust the lineup and switch the primary positions around if necessary.

Wed Mar 29, 2006 11:04 pm

you should redo all Charlie Bell rating, he is doing amazing lately and just last night had his first triple duble

Thing is, from what i've seen, prince deserves to have inside stopper. thing is, he doesnt deserve the huge stats that this ability requires.

^^And AI2, thats exactly the sort of request that wont be fulfilled. one triple double and a handful of amazing games does not warrant an adjustment. you watch, andrew will make the change, and he'll start playing crap again. or however he was before. apologies for speaking on your behalf andrew, but i think you need a little break

Thu Mar 30, 2006 10:27 am

No worries koberulz, that's basically my position on that one. ;) Bell is playing well but you have to be wary of increasing/decreasing ratings based on short stretches. I don't think Bell needs a huge update right now but there's perhaps a couple of areas where his ratings could be better. I can take a look but I can't promise I'll do anything with his ratings just yet.
