no jxuusa said he has made lighting work on his pc by using someone else's setting file

Wed Nov 23, 2005 5:19 am

That setting file is for low working PC's and you can change it by changing the detail settings

Thu Nov 24, 2005 3:43 am

no it doesnt work but jxuusa says it does im just hoping he can explain how

Thu Nov 24, 2005 4:00 am

man... i dont understand why you guys' dont work...
i will walk though the exact steps in which i did it.

1. downloaded file from StaticXX
(2). searched my harddrive for all settings.dat files
3. opened My Documents/NBA LIVE 06
4. backed up settings.dat file from settings folder
5. copied downloaded settings.dat to replace original settings.dat in settings folder
6. loaded up live
(7). I also put this settings into Andrew's roster patch in case the previous method didnt work, but it ended up working.

remember its not settings.dbf you need to worry about, but settings.dat
some people elsewhere i've talked to have been trying to change settings.dbf and that doesn't work.

So after this I loaded up live, and jumped into quickplay, hoping that it would work. and once i got in, it was working nicely, but the resolution sucked cause everything was set on default, so i maxed everything out and came out with this after maxing everything.

hopefully this helps a bit, cause thats is exactly the steps that i went though.
