It did have big flaws like when the players stop to receive a pass, but still it has been the best and most challenging NBA Live experience of all time. Its been almost a year since the release of 05 and Im still playing. It has been the version that have kept me playing for the longest time.
This is so true... It's the first NBA Live game in ages or forever for that matter that has offered challenge further than 10 games into the playing... Every other Live gameplay has become too easy to beat after a couple of games.
I still play it too...
I've been playing for a year and I can't win all the games?!?!?!? What's up with that? This has never happened before...
A challenge is something that the game sorely has needed in the past. The reason I like the managing side more probably is due to the fact that there was no point in beating the AI one more time 130-85 and I would just concentrate on building the best team I reasonably could for simulation.
Hopefully 06 will provide similar challenge so that even after months of gaming, not atleast all the games will be open-and-shut-cases... I just hate it when Stojko starts his killing spree from the three point line and there's very little you can do about it... It's like the real thing... If one has a hot hand, there's nothing you can do about it, it's like that in real life... San Antonio tried to stop TMac with all the possible means in those last 35 seconds, but just simply could not. They did however push him into making extremely difficult shots from the perimeter... There is no man alive that could have stopped him from making those shots.
About that TMac Comeback of the century vid, it's great when the commentators say that "what were the people thinking that were driving in their cars and heading for home already to beat the rush" and they also said "even we were wrapping it up for San Antonio already"... The damn coolest play ever... Wish I could someday shoot it like that
