 Thanks Man For Trying Them. I Am In The Process Of Correcting The Shooting. Gameplay Is OK Though???????

All games played with 12 minute quarters, no overtimes among these. I keep it real, won't always go straight to towards to the rim, take shots from the mid-range, play 20-24 seconds at the offensive end. I also suggest you to use the plays from the Playmakers thread.

Clearly I average 8+ ppg compared to the CPU, mainly due to more freethrows. That's just me, I just can't or don't want to foul.

Another thing causing thit is that in of those games I led by 5-9 points before the last minute of play, stupid CPU kept fouling me and i got 6-10 FTAs just the last minute of the game and I have grewn my lead thanks to those aswell.

The TOs are up due to EA's fuckup - the deflected passes going out of bounds counting as a TO.

And don't let the Ws deceive you, my record is about 60%. I like it, some of you hardcore fans might want to turn the USER sliders down to make it harder.

And finally, the sliders themselves.

Where are those sliders from BAtman at?

Sat Jan 14, 2006 10:57 am

Whats the most realistic SND fun slider.. and when I sat fun, I mean fun like original sliderm btw I play at 2min qrt, and suyperstar level.

Sun Jan 15, 2006 4:15 am

Can you tell me how to save my slider, becаuse now i must enter them every single time when i run the game.
I searched originaldb but I cannot find DBF file named "sliders" or something similar

Sun Jan 15, 2006 1:17 pm

Does anyone know what USER/CPU Poor Release Shot Percent is?

I had sometimes similar problems, my solution was to set the sliders, then enter a game ("Play Now") for a while, and then back to main menu again.
Anyway, the sliders aren't stored in dbf files, but in settings.dat in C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Documents\NBA LIVE 06\settings.

Poor release is when you release at the wrong time: too late or too early. Poor Release Shot Percent sets how often will you make the miss-timed shots. Just like Short Range Shooting, Short Range Shooting and etc.

From the main screen to go Options, Load/Save, and on the bottom right 'Save Settings' and you should be alright.

Thanks for the reply, i have one more problem about the gameplay. Whenever i play i always try to keep it real, like i know if i drive to the lane for a lay-up/dunk, 99% i will get the basket. So instead of going inside, i usually take mid-range jump shots and 3 pointers, but is there a solution where i can go for a lay-up/dunk and feel like that i'm not cheating since it's so easy to get a basket from inside? Should i increase the CPU on-ball physical Defence? Will this make it more realistic? When I'm watchin NBA games on TV, only certain players can penetrate into the lane and get a lay-up/dunk... I just wanna keep it as real as possible u know....

Heiks, i tried your sliders. I like it. Except that when i played it in 12 minutes, i averaged like 140+ scores. So when i tried playing it in 10 minute quarters scores are ok at 90-110 ranges. Gameplay is great, except that i had plenty of TO's like 15-20 per game. It's because some of my entry passes goes out of bounds and are sometimes deflected and stolen. I like it that the FG's, rebounds, 3pt FG's/% are NBA real stats. One thing i kind of like aswell with your slider is now can hit the 3's even if the long range slider is set at 39. So Peja can be a threat again from the outside, unlike the other sliders i tried where 3 points was impossible even if you're wide open.

By the way, i play the Kings, i use Playmakers offensive play sets, and Andrew's latest NBA roster patch. Kings don't have any inside or outside scorers so i play mostly off the offensive set plays.

Right now here are the sliders i've tried and ranked them with the way i like them.

1. Heiks (i suggest playing in 10 minute quarters for real NBA stats)
2. Hippopaddy's (8 minute real NBA stats)
3. Bradfeets (very challenging, and good gameplay)
4. BeeGees (too high FGA)
5. Playmakers (it's really good but i like playing in Superstar mode)

Still waiting for Andrew's sliders so we can have the once and for all sliders for Live 06, hopefully with the release of the next roster update.

Hi Peja 4 3!
I editet batman's sliders and my game is very good respect first scores
I play with the Rockets at my dynasty mode

For example: Rockets - Hornets 100 - 120, Cavs - Rockets 122 - 100
I hate high scores but these are a little bit more real that other sliders

Could anyone tell me the perfect sliders for 8 min game at all-star level?

Wed Jan 18, 2006 4:06 pm

peja, try lowering game speed to about 17-20. it may be irratating at first but it will bring your game scores down.

i want to play at 12 min qtrs because the cpu starters will average 44 minutes on simmed games. check the box scores. if i want subs to play about 20 minutes then i will only get about 40 per game (luckily). at 10 min qtrs you will only be getting about 32 minutes.

Sun Jan 22, 2006 7:16 pm

can you tell me best sliders for 9min superstar

Sun Jan 22, 2006 8:18 pm

You could use mine, if the scores are too low raise the game speed a bit.

Mon Jan 23, 2006 11:19 am

hey beegee

am a noobie here. only have time for 6 minute quarters or less. i am hoping for a tweak on the sliders you have set for any quarter length, or any skill level. thanks!

Tue Jan 24, 2006 2:30 am

playmaker can you create sliders for superstar 8-10 min ?

Tue Jan 24, 2006 6:00 am

Hey Heiks,
you're sliders seem to work very well for me, big thanks :D

Anyway, I got a question: Is the "fatigue effect" slider a relative or an absolute setting. So does it depend on the length of the game how fast your players get tired or do they get as fast tired on 8 min. as on 10. min? I hope you understand me

Tue Jan 24, 2006 11:04 pm

fatigue has to do with the player's stamina and also with how he plays in the game
if he has to defend a good player he will tire more quickly

Wed Jan 25, 2006 12:18 am

Yeah, it doesn't depend on the quarter lenght. A player gets just as tired within 6 minutes in a 6 minute quarter game as he does in a 12 minute qurter game.

Thu Feb 02, 2006 8:11 pm

Hey Heiks your sliders are really good (Y) I just finished a game winning 101-92 with realistic stats in almost every statcategory, I played 12 min quarters.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 10:23 am

I'm gonna try out Heiks sliders, sounds like everybody likes them!

Sat Feb 04, 2006 8:07 pm

It nice to hear that my sliders have worked for many of you.

I've played a lot of games now and like few mentioned before, the best results come with 10 minute quarters. Most scores are in 90-s, few over 100, some under 90.

I adjusted some sliders aswell: raised Dunk/Lay-up Block Ability, turned some fouls down and other stuff.

The thing is when I maxed the Shot Block Ability both teams blocked about 2-3 jumpshots a game, but they didn't cound as a block in the stats. :?

And I'm still having trouble with FTs. Whatever I set the foul sliders I always get 10 fouls and 10-14 FTAs more than the CPU.

Ohh, I advise to turn off 3 in the key, because that's generating way to much turnovers with Playmakers' offensive sets.
