BeeGee wrote:For all those people out there looking for a 6 min half game realistic slider I am in the process of perfecting it. When I say "realistic" I'm referring to the gamplay because in a 6 min game stats will vary. but for those stat heads the stat for half a game will be something along the lines of:

Average stat of realistic game: My 6 min games(so far):

PPG 92.79 PPG 75-85
FGA 75.18 FGA 60
RPG 40.39 RPG 25-30
ORPG 11.40 ORPG 7-9 (Which is ridiculous )
APG 19.86 APG 12-17
SPG 8.77 SPG 4-6 (On bad passes, the real steal)
BPG 4.72 BPG 5
FG% 0.4387 FG% .500(average game) - .600
3P% 0.3456 3P% .350(goodplayers)-.400(goodteams)
FT% 0.7254 FT% 75-80 (keeps scores close)
TOPG 17.40 TOPG 10(good game) - 15 (bad game)

Just for those who want to know how I play, I like to handle the ball a lot to break down the defense and keep them moving and occasionally put up the jumper after I make the move like Francis Wade and Iverson. With those all around guys like Kobe Lebron and T-Mac I try to go for a triple double every game. But basically it's inside out, take boys off the dribble with jumper or the drive to create plays. My team is the Rockets, My favorite player is Steve Francis(whom I base my Game after) so you will get a preview of what type gameplay will come form the sliders .

After a few more tests on the sliders and my homework I will post them, and I guarantee that they will become your Arcade(6 min ) style of gameplay.

maybe i'l try ur sliders to, can u post it here, thanx

@brad ei, uve got nice sliders although it gives me a very high scores and the game speed... i didnt really like the slow phase, so i adjusted a little in the game speed and also the shooting... works for me now, im trying also some slider here...

so can any1 post for 6 mins superstar we'll be very much appreciated. thanx

oh....i have made a patch "RealNBA06" to PLAY ONLINE with realism silders

but because i'm a Chinese and my English is poor. there is only the Chinese version patch.

Could somebody who speak English&Chinese to help me translate the patch? then i can upload the English version...

Hey guys, am new here, but I've been playing NBA Live since..well, 98 was the earliest version I remember, with Antoine Walker on the cover.

I tried bradfeet's sliders, but since I like playing the ful NBA game (12 minute quarters), I tsill get scores like 120-111 or something. I'm playing the Grizzlies dynasty, and although NBA teams sometimes do score in that range, it gets quite tiring after a while. Still, I'm satisfied with it.

The offensive rebounding is absurd: it gets frustrating especially when you manage to play good enough defense but give up the offensive board.

I'm still waiting for a realistic slider for those, like me, who like to play the full 12 minutes.

Question: In bradfeet's sliders, the short range shooting was set to the lowest among the three (mid range, long range.) Shouldn't the long range be set at the lowest? Just a thought, since teams usually shoot 35-39% from beyond the arc.

And may I just say I love NLSC! You guys definitely put the "Live" in NBA Live! Hopefully I can learn some of the stuff you do and give back. :D

I'm too lazy to browse through all the pages, but does anyone have any good sliders for 8-9 minutes on superstar?

Hey nicossantos76, you still out there? Was just wondering if you had any updates on your sliders. They were pretty strong, well worth building on.

I have tried something new to get my shooting % down. I have decreased lay up slider for both tems

cpu = 20
human = 25

I then raised shooting for human.

med 36-37
long -37-39

my big guys now miss. but i do get an occassional fast break layup miss but i take the good with the bad.

also, cpu long range at 37 seems high too. I playerd against korver and i guess he is good. so i put Prince on him and he still made 6-12. it was a joke.

finally, are there blocks for human or do i have to do every one manually. usually if i actually time it perfectly the cpu will do the animatin where they lean into my player to get the foul.

I'm open to any suggestions, but keep in mind this is supposed to be a 6 minute game. I like to shoot the ball with ease, but overall team shot percentage end up at around .450 to .525 for both User and CPU. I will try to work on the CPU ability to get to the line but on average FTA are about 16 a game with the CPU shooting around .750. Scores be around 75-85 and 85 is a good game if you don't commit to many turnovers (I like to play a lot of one-on-one at Center Court View so sometimes I turn the ball over but the Default view is better for playing a team game). Defense is the key so try to challenge every shot attempt or they will burn you the whole game.

well korver is good at 3, and if he shoots well sometimes, it will be normal.. when u see donyel marshall got 12 3 pointers, u would think its a joke, but it is true. i set cpu at 38, and with good defence, comp only shoots like 20-30% for 3 point, if i suck at defending, then its 50%+... see?

I like SHAFT23 sliders the most. Seems quite real, both stats and gameplay. Comments below are also right. I would slightly decrease User Shot Block Ability, to 90 perhaps.
I played around 10 games with those sliders for now and I started with All-Star level and those sliders are good for All-Star too (8 minutes quarter). You just might adjust a shooting % a bit, so shooting jumpers and 3s wouldnt be so easy in All-Star.

SHAFT23 wrote:These are my sliders.......i play 8 minute quarters and i find that these are the best sliders till now i adjust things to my liking if i find that there is something wrong with thegamepay...........I still have too many offensive rebounds and the cpu has even more........and too many out of bounds of the adjusted shots behind the backboard. Depending on your style of play and substitutions you should get 90 to 100 points per game with a average to good team with realistic stats.

Try it out and let me know, bacause i haven't played much lately. So i might get better and change some things.

The ANdrew from nba live 2005 isn't all good for Live 06 in my opinion. Especially in the fatigue and offensive rebounds department.

my sliders for now........superstar / 8 minute quarters

Game Speed: 40
Free Throw Difficulty: 50 - 70 depending on your own skillz.
Boundary Force Field: 90
Injury Frequency: 50
Fatigue Effect: 38 - 42.....not too high because the game won't be as realistic...example kobe can't make shots after 6 minutes of play.
Charge/Block Foul Frequency: 80 .....there are too many easy charges in this years game in online play it is pretty easy to take charges , so for online i guess it would be 90.>>>Update
Shooting Foul Frequency: 10
Reach-in Foul Frequency: 10
In-air Collision Foul Frequency: 50

User Interception Ability: 35
User Shot Block Ability: 100 >>>>i have seen just a couple of blocks on jumpers in my games played. I looked at the instant replay and I blocked the ball a couple of times and the ball went through my centers hand.
User Dunk/Lay-up Block Ability: 70
User Freestyle Effectiveness: 40
User Dunk vs. Lay-up Frequency: 30.....i think the lower this is, means less dunks. there are too many easy dunks this year.
User Substitution Frequency: 0.......i do my own damn subbing.

if the CPU and USER off rebs rebounds are still too high, i am gonna think about lowering every players off. rebs and upping every players def. rebs. It will take a while, but at least the game will be better.
the problem will be dynasty mode where new players come in that have higher off rebs.

*UPDATE*

Okay i just finished a game with these sliders as Golden State and it was pretty good. The offensive rebounds were bad again, but more on my team. I had 22 offensive rebounds. makes no sense, but hey shit happens...and i still lost, though.
I took it easy and didn't do a whole lot of freestyle unless on the break. I subbed pretty often also.
here are the screenshots of the stats.

*UPDATE*

i played another game under a couple of changes in the sliders

I changed the Game speed to 40 / USER dunk-lay up Blocking to 70 / CPU dunk-lay up Blocking to 65

These made the game more fun to play. I had more blocks and so did the CPU.......this takes a little away from the fact that the CPU gets blocked once and then just picks it up and dunks it again. My offensive rebounds were still pretty high at 22 of 42 tot Rebounds.

I Got a Request for Slider makers :P. . .

I play 7 Minutes, All-Star difficulty.

Ive tweaked the sliders abit, but I see that rebounds in general are low, (in the games that I play) outside shots are used more than inside game, so C's and PF's barely get any points etc.

any suggestions?

For all visitors of a site: I have some questions:
1. Why players in NBA ALIVE 2006 often remain in the three second zones? It depends on regulators gameplay?
2. Why, at the block of the player, it turns out steal ?
How it to correct? I used many regulators gameplay from this site, but the validity in game and did not see.

The part I like the most about my sliders isn't the absolutely realistic stats, but the frequency of offensive moves the CPU does on you and how the CPU is constantly switching players on defense because of them, but they completely lock you down when they defend you, so the scoring feels rewarding when you do.

Am I the only one who plays with gamespeed 80 here?? i really dont enjoy playing very slow basketball. There is no challenge for me. Anybody here played POP Warrior Within or GTA Vice City? Coz the logic is the same. You have the "slow" ability so that everything moves in slow motion and you have an advantage. Why? because slow gameplay makes you think faster and react faster than the CPU and the game becomes easier. I really don't give a damn if it is more realistic. I just adjust the time. For instance. When playing at speed 80, I set my clock at 6 minutes. It's like playing for 12 minutes at a faster pace. Try it guys. Once you get the hang of it, you'll realize it is more challenging and better. Peace!

i'll give the batman sliders a go
i have tried numerous of sliders, only to be 0-3 down in my Bulls dynasty at the moment. found it very hard to play D.

was playing against the Nets and even got Jason Kidd to give up the ball 3 consecutive times with my trap, he was substituted after these TO's. Jeff McInnis did a better job.
Was pleased with that.

How can you slow down the break away ? Got some fast breaks in my basket after a few 3 point misses. they simply outrun you.

another question about the poor release percentage.
if it is low, don't you have to get less misses ?
it is called poor release shot percentage, so if the value is low, you have less poor releases, right ?

low mean more misses
and no body could give a high percentage of poor realase shot dun they...
i mean if u are playing the real match....even shooting would be a problem...
