There are many pros and cons to choosing any version to update.
07 pros - freestyle superstars/in-game switching, player rotation, commentary/crowd/atmosphere, dribble penetration defensive animations, roster updates already out...
07 cons - sim engine(fixable/improvable), no walking, collision detection, mixing high resolution patches cause crashes, random quit game crash bug, only possible to interchange animations with Live 08, computer rarely attempts alleyoops, point guard takes too many shots, triple threat freestyle burst drives function incorrectly...
06 pros - solid gameplay, 3x jersey potential, good fast breaks, triple threat freestyle burst drives function correctly, possibility for using animations from 2004/2005 and the ps2 march madness series, audy 06 for updating commentary, possibility to use headshapes from newer versions, sim engine is good...
06 cons - too many intercepted passes, unable to switch FSS during games, FSS easy to exploit, primacy bug after injuries...
I was going to say Live 2005 should have been the one to use because I installed it and had a little fun with a couple of Seushiro's animation aiact files. I found that it CAN be done with 06, although 06 is a bit picky. We just need someone who can do things like that.
