first off, are there any menus or anything updated with this? mine are still all the old NBA ones. secondly, i assume none of the cyberfaces are included? every player is a black guy with a bald white head. if thats how it is supposed to be, thats cool. i realize that there is much left to be done, i just wanted to make sure i wasn't a moron and put stuff in the wrong spot.

There are new menu and startup screens... if you installed it correctly they should show up. The file that I downloaded from rapidshare was corrupt so be sure you download and install the megaupload file. None of the cyberfaces have been implemented in yet, and you're right about the player appearances.



Does anyone know of a good basketball statistics site where I can find free throw percentages and such?!? FT% is my main problem as of yet.. and I've been kinda throwing them in as I think they would be.

If anyone is a big fan of any team or has a good knowledge of any team(s) and can do the ratings with ACCURACY send them to me plz!! with (excel or .dbf)

AJC, are you using ch? or just doing the ratings from stratch? I can do ACC ratings from stratch if you need, and would be glad to help. I would actually rather do them from stratch, I am a huge follower of ACC hoops....

I'm just doing them ffrom scratch I don't have either game to refer to. If you could do the ACC teams then go for it. Keep us posted of how it's coming.

And there are definatly some problems with stadiums, rosters, and players... I'll do what I can to work around them until they are fixed

yeah, i think the new menus just arent showing up because i installed the TNT patch, which updates everything as well. i'll have to tinker with that as well now

also, any trick to getting those cyberfaces to work? (sorry if i sound like an idiot)

What files update new menus? Because they aren't showing up for me either. Only the beginning screens such as the the one with all the Ncaa teams and the one of Florida holding up the championship trophy those are the only ones I see. None are showing up at the Play Now Menus...any ideas?

Honestly I dont think the cyberfaces are necessary anymore...nice but unecessary. Respect to hammertime to doing them.

What is needed here is a custom roster expert that can pinpoint what is wrong with this roster; fix it. And then we can get back to my idea of putting a team together to get this done?

I was ignored when asked if the .dbf files could be sent to me, and also didn't get much of a reply about the team concept of completing this roster.
If you people are not serious about doing it, then just let this mod die.
The Live 2005 version will be out very soon anyway.

I agree... but i think that many of the problems regarding certain players causing the game to crash are because a cyberface is supposed to be there but it's not... so what I'm doing for these players is making them free agents (it crashes when i try to delete them) and recreating them... this should work for all players who crash on any given team... but wisconsin is still all f'd up... I've also completed Kansas and workin on Ohio State. (I had to recreate brandon rush and greg oden)

Ok,from what i see all the players have the same COLOR and SKINTONE and BODYTYPE etc..Which is a problem!The guy that made the roster had the ISCREATED field set to TRUE for all players,but also gave them the proper PLYRKG,which is worng even if you have cyberfaces and portraits!So do you guys have any CF and ports or what?!And around 120 players need ratings,which is no problem as long as i can find their stats!

hmm...Just realized that whoever made the roster didn't pay much attention to the ratings!When you go to EDIT PLAYER mode and click on DONE the game recalculates the ratings and it turns out that everybody has ratings in the range of 88-99!!!Noone has like 65-70!This sucks,but when you edit all players in-game and fix the structure of the two broken dbf files the players with white skin and black heads are gone!This roster is f*cked up,man!

P.S. Don't EVER edit dbf files with Excel!!!EVER!!!

however, it is very very difficult to do the non-standard items.
for example, if a player averages 2.8 rebounds pre game, what is his rebound rating? and dunk rating; that has to be done just by personal judgement. Right now, this is just seeming so hopeless...
it cannot be done by multiple people unless we all use college hoops or something...[color=black][/color]

Ratings like speed,jump etc... are impossible to calculate!You have to see the player and decide for yourself!From what i see it will be easier to start from scratch,than continue with this roster!

well no shit... try reading at least some of this thread please before posting stupidness!... only the foundation for this NCAA mod was created... and unfortunatly even it wasn't finished. So what we are trying to do here is work out all the bugs and create some reasonably accurate rosters. There are bugs with many of the players, several of the courts, and the entire Wisconsin team.

68? are you serious? maybe a good rebounding small foward... would that be a good rebounding stat in NBA live... no...
If you were just saying that to make a point then yeah ur right, sorry for being so harsh.

If people would send me ratings that THEY think are correct... I'll implement and adjust them to be proportional withthe teams that I've done so far. but if not whatever.

yo dukey.. good to hear ur workin on them btw... and it's hard as hell if not impossible to figure some of this stuff unless you have extensive knowlege of certain teams... but seriously... None of the games out now are close to being perfect, so we shouldn't try to be. Personally think we have a good thing going here. Scouting websites give you a good idea of athleticism, awareness, and speed atributes so you might want to use those in conjunction with stats. I think both together give a pretty good model of what a player actually is like.
