It should work fine, but I'll work with FAsz :wink: to make sure his lighting file is compatible with the sweat patch.

Thu Feb 16, 2006 4:11 am

Pdub, I asked above, but maybe you didn't see. Is there a way to control the lighting so that there's no shine on the shoes at all?

Thanks.

Thu Feb 16, 2006 4:19 am

yeah sure but it will change lighting on all ure accessories

<dataobject name="AccessoryDiffuse" type="Vector" value="{X=1.000000, Y=1.000000, Z=1.000000}" />
<dataobject name="AccessorySpecular" type="Vector" value="{X=0.200000, Y=0.200000, Z=0.200000}" />
<dataobject name="AccessorySpecularPower" type="Vector" value="{X=16.00000, Y=16.00000, Z=16.00000}" />

change ure accessory lighting with this

Probably never seen sweat before... :roll:

haha.. i dont know about you arden_05.. but sweat beads dont get concentrated in one spot like that.. its like all teh other sweat glands on his forehead have been blocked or something :P now it just looks like his forehead got splashed with boiling water and made his skin all bubbly :crazy:

Thu Feb 16, 2006 5:28 am

Righttt..... :roll: Let the man do his thing...he's doing a hell of a job, can you do any better...I know I can't.

Thu Feb 16, 2006 6:10 am

bigh0rt, yeah I can reduce or completely take away the shine of the shoes. Does anyone else want this done?

The sweatbeads on the forehead may not be necessary, I think they look good, but the lines on the forehead look better without the beads imo. They also stand out better without the beads, and the players face looks better without them.

Lets not turn this thread into a debate. If you want to be helpful, find some pics of faces from xbox360 and post the link to the page(other than gamespot). OOOrrrrr, you can find some real life pics of nba players(faces/arms/legs) on the court sweating and post/link them.

Thanks PDub, I only hope others want the shoe fix too. I think the shine on them looks unrealistic (Y)

I'll certainly be looking for pics to help, my man. Thanks for your work.

PS - Nice Simpsons sig quote :lol:

Thu Feb 16, 2006 6:52 am

good job nicky on that (Y)
keep it up

Thu Feb 16, 2006 7:01 am

That's all I found:
http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/748/ ... mgs_3.html
and of course the easports site (Y)

You might wanna look for some other screenshots of xbox 360 games like fifa. I think they have sweat, too!

Here's a nice pic of d wade in real life.

There are sweatbeads on his forehead, but they are more spaced than on the Richard Jefferson pic I posted.

Here's one of MJ, completely engulfed in sweatbeads.

read the caption of the second pic... :)

Hey, you guys see in FasZ's pic, how in the bottom left one, J-Kidd's band has substance to it? Does anyone know where those files can be found/edited? I'd really like to fix up the bands in the game, all of them, and pads, both textures and sizes, etc.

Thu Feb 16, 2006 7:43 am

I dunnoe sorry man :( it will be (y) if u found how to fix them :p

Just like the pic of mike Pdub, When i posted earlier about making the light areas of the face like a dithered spraycan effect, to give the impression of skin texture, In the "Mj pic" the light is not solid, but its lots of small white dots spread everywhere but condense together on the nose and above the eyebrow. I think thats why the skin lighting does'nt look real because the lighting areas as shown in your billups and jefferson pics are solid giving the impression of perfect smooth skin which know one has unless your 1 day old.

Try and apply this effect but still keep the dripping sweat lines, and maybe just spread and dispurse the sweat bead drops on the forehead
but keep them small.

Hope this helps... but keep trying, I know you can do it!!!

I tried turning specular off by changing 0.2 to 0 and it didn't work. There was still shine on shoes. I thought it might also get rid of the sweat on arm bands, but that didn't work either.

Yep, exactly wat i was trying to say (Y)... the beads you got on jefferson's forehead are kinda grouped together in one spot, making it look like a burn wound instead of sweat beads, while the lower half of his forehead is completely smooth... looking forward to ur next update :)

Just thought i have a muckaround, to see i could give the head lighting a very sweaty texture. :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

I think the dithered effect is the way to go to give a textured lighting effect. The smooth texture on the arms in the above pic which is similar to the default lighting looks too plastic. :!: :!: :!:

Hey Pdub maybe you could try something like this but add your sweat lines and sweat beads.
I'm hoping this could be the perfect combo to make it look realistic :D :D :D

My man looks like his face was dipped in a vat of hydrochloric acid. Overdone, IMO.

Less concentrated on the top of the forehead, spread out a little more, put some on the nose that you can barely see.
