Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

Shavlik Randolph should have his rebounding and steals upgraded, maybe even his awareness....he seems pretty solid and knows whats going on.
Also...
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds Per 48 Minutes(9.5)
Ranks #1 in the NBA in Rebounds Per 48 Minutes(19.0)
Ranks #7 in the NBA in Steals Per 48 Minutes(2.85)
Ranks #5 in the NBA in Efficiency Ranking Per 48 Minutes(34.22)

I get to watch a lot of Celtics games and thought I'd throw in my 2 cents....
Their 3 leading scorers should get some ratings boosts, Paul Pierce, Ricky Davis, Mark Blount. Pierce is averaging 8.3 rebounds a game which is basically unheard of for a 6-6 swingman. Having his best year offensively by shooting .482 FG and .425 3%. His overall rating seems good but deserves some boosts with rebounding.
Davis is having a career year and a great second option for us. Should go up a bit overall with his .459 FG and plays better D than national media gives him credit for. Defensive aware should be a little higher, and his 75 ovearll seems low to me.
Blount has been a bad rebounder for us with 4.2 a game. Hes been a solid starter all season and most of all has been playing great offense. Gets alot of points by running the floor and has great range on his shot. Should certainly improve overall and in FG.
Lafrentz has been a bit disappointing and lost his starting job lately to Blount and Perkins. Shooting a career low of .437 FG and rebounding a career low 4.6. Really inconsistent season.
Kendrick Perkins took the starting job from Raef and has shown flashes of solid play. Should be a little low in awareness because he looks lost sometimes but has been rebounding and blocking alot in limited time. Still no offense as most of his points are on putbacks.

I understand how busy you are and I really appreciate the effort you apply to maintaining this patch and providing an avenue for people with an interest in NBA Live to associate. Hopefully your still finding enough time to play the game and relax.
No need to apologise.

Actually I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like (pretty much any game, really) which is one of the reasons I haven't released any sliders yet.
Thanks for all the input, everyone.

what if i make a patch that updates the shoes, cyberface, skin tone, the gears and the hair in the whole nba

Hi,
Smush Parker's ratings have to be raised. His Offense, Defense, Steal, Jump, Dunk, Quickness, Speed and 3pt are better than his ratings.
Andrew Bynum is an outstanding shot blocker and a good rebounber.
Kobe Shoots better (and more) than last year and turns the ball over less. He also gives less assists.
Aaron McKie is out of Phil's wiev, he won't play much. He should be placed on the inactive list.
Laron Profit is out for the rest of the season.
Ronny Turiaf is close to return.

Turiaf will probably go to CBA. He will be back when he will be at his top-level.

Uh, ok...but this isn't the place to talk about that.

I've already raised Smush's ratings ready for v1.01. I'll take a look at the other ratings as well. If McKie is on the inactive list most of the time he'll be there in the rosters as well. When Turiaf returns he'll be on the roster and not a moment sooner.

Hi Andrew,
some suggestions for the next release
Boris Diaw:
- Dunk rating is way too low (only 15 !), should be at least 60
- Blocking rating should be raised, around 35
- Rebounding and passing may be slightly improved, since he averages more than 6 p/g in both categories
Sarunas Jasikevicius
- He's a deadly shooter (USA Team players will confirm...

), looks like the NBA-style hasn't cause him too much adaptation problems...
FG & FT should be raised over 75
Thanks

As I've already said, I'm going through all the ratings. I'll do what I can but I can't promise perfection. As always I'll be making adjustments here and there throughout the year.
Sat Dec 24, 2005 2:26 pm
Once again dont forget about Maurice Williams(you might have changed him already). His FG and 3 point ratings should be 75 or higher and offence Aware should be higher. Range 25.
Sat Dec 24, 2005 2:27 pm
Uh...I just said I was going through
all the ratings. That would include Maurice Williams.
Sat Dec 24, 2005 7:27 pm
Andrew, just a little question, I'd like to start a dynasty but I'm waiting for your next version to get more players... could I slightly change your v1.00 to add created players ? I just want to have your permission to do it. (of course, if you have created new players.)
Sat Dec 24, 2005 7:51 pm
Hey Andrew are you editing players` ratings by looking into their stas?If so look at Jasikevicius the rookie he is 5ft by the rookie and Ranks #18 in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage(0.425) Ranks #7 in the NBA in Free-Throw Percentage(0.915) Ranks #8 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goals Per 48 Minutes(3.25)
So i think he should be a shooter or smt...
Sat Dec 24, 2005 11:58 pm
Hey Andrew, Mark Blount's rating of the Celtics should be higher. His range is 18 ft. His averaging 12.5 ppg. His field goal % is .494. His an offense force for the Celtics. His rating is in the 50's. I think I should be like higher 60's at the least.
P.S. Delonte West's blocking should be higher. His blocking center's shot
Thanks for making rosters for us. Its great but I just had some advice.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hi Andrew - in general, are there any aspect of gameplay that you(others) do not like, are u planning to make any changes that will result in more realistic gameplay? ie. in your note about an up coming roster it said a mass shift in ratings will happen along with a change in sliders.
can you provide some insight on how game play will be impacted? im looking forward to the newwest patch

I didn't say I was releasing sliders with 1.01. I hoped to, but to be honest I hardly have any time to play at the moment so I'd rather not release the sliders I'm still working on. Sorry.
I
cannot guarantee gameplay that's improved out of sight. There are some things you just can't do with a roster patch, at least to the point of perfection. Basically I'll be going through and changing as many ratings as I see fit, particularly blocking and rebounding ratings. I anticipate it will result in improved gameplay and simulated performance with some players showing more true to life performances in both areas but please understand at the end of the day I'm restricted by the AI/logic and some things can't be completely overcome by editing/sliders.
And again, everyone: I'm going through
all the ratings. All means everyone, so you don't need to remind me to look at a particular player. Thanks.
Mon Dec 26, 2005 11:13 am
Well i have to say something other than the ratings.. i've played with my friend.. i was playing with the kings and i penetrate into the basket with bibby and he did 360 -.-" and my friend thought i raised the ratings..

Mon Dec 26, 2005 11:15 am
Also Redd can do a 360 in real life he can dunk but not do a 360.
