Maybe. Interest in the older games continues to wane with NBA 2K on the PC but I'll evaluate the situation at the season's end. I would like to keep updating the rosters for the people still playing those old games and to keep NBA Live alive on the PC, but I'll just have to take stock of the situation in the offseason and go from there.

Alright, i understand. 2k10 is cool but still has lots of flaws. I would say that the live 06 with the pc project is a lot more stable than the 2k10 (and the rest of the NBA lives) and it adds some stuff that the 2k10 doesn't have and of course, it has less requirements and occupies a lot less space. It would be a shame if the project is stopped after this season.

And NBA live 06 also gives the most realistic stats.

EA should support this project somehow as a sign of respect to this community and the pc users that were willing to buy the next game for pc. It could be good for their popularity in case, they decide to bring back the nba live for pc.

It would be a huge loss for them if nba-live stops doing live rosters. Over the last decade, the nba-live roster has been the closest thing to an official roster update. I got to know about nba-live.com playing nba live 2004 online because everyone used the nba-live roster.

Maybe, you should discuss the topic next time they call you to try the new game. :D

Well, we're certainly keen to do all we can to encourage EA Sports to bring the game back to the PC but at the end of the day it's a business decision. Sadly our last PC Petition didn't make any impact, though to be honest we didn't get nearly as many signatures as we would've liked. I'm still playing NBA Live 06 owing to NBA Live 10's Dynasty flaws and there are people who playing the PC versions so I would like to continue the rosters but it does take time and there aren't as many people downloading it as before. I guess I'm getting a little burned out maintaining four different rosters at once but perhaps after a little break following the final updates for 2009/2010 I'll be right to continue. :)

maybe you should limit yourself to live 06 (pc project) and live 08 (last live) updates.

If I'm going to update multiple games, I might as well do all four as it's straightforward enough to update them simultaneously; just a bit more time consuming than doing one. The point is I'm feeling a bit burned out on doing roster updates, period - I've been doing it a long time - and the interest isn't there as it used to be to boot. So I'll see how things go after the season.

Indeed, which makes things difficult but as I said we'll see. If I can spare the time, I'll certainly try to keep things going.

Yeah. It is understandable. And even if Andrew stops doing roster patchs, his work will be remembered. :chug:

Even if I stop doing the rosters I'll still be around doing other things for NBA Live but appreciate the kind words. :) I'll see how I feel and what can be done come June.

One question, do you use CPU assistance, is it off or on?
Cheers!

I've always preferred to play with CPU Assistance off. More challenging for the user and with the comeback logic, the CPU doesn't need the extra help when it's behind.

Isn't it about time we add the 2000's All-Stars and leave just one 1990's All-Star Team for the next release?

It's not really a priority to be honest. Especially as I don't have 2000s All-Stars art on hand to use and that such changes need to be made to all of the rosters so I can continue to update them simultaneously without (much) hassle. If I do end up adding a 2000s All-Stars, I'll probably still keep the second 90s All-Stars; no reason to get rid of it.

Having two 90s All-Star teams seems unfair, plus we could temporarily fill the 2000s All-Stars in the second 90s slot. I've made a proposed list of players for both 90s and 00s. What do you think?

1990's All-Stars

I'm not quite sure with the 00s bench, but that's why I need other guys' opinions about this.

No, I don't think so. As I said, I would rather keep the second 90s All-Star team and not take anything out of the roster that's already there. And again:

'Drew, you don't happen to have time for an update of these rosters to reflect the final playoff rosters, eh? ;)
