The file rebalances the frequency of rookie names turning up, and also has 1000+ added names, mostly surnames. I have also tried to address the lack of names in some areas (especially Asia where the names became similar very fast).

In addition to this I have also updated birth town/country files.

Let me know if you would like me to make these available for you.

i think this is very necessary to the dynasty mode.. we don't like to see the same surnames as the seasons progress.. please do the updates (Y)

Well the alternative is that we simulate to the 08-09 season in a dynasty, then from that create a roster / schedule and everything. Redistribute that and create a batch file or something so people could still choose their team.
Opinions are my own.

There's more support than I thought for rolling back the birthdates. Putting it to a vote seems like the most democratic thing to do, so I'll create a poll.

I'd prefer not to eliminate Freestyle Superstars as I feel it's something we can work with. I'd rather leave it up to the user to disable FSS if they don't want it, but I suppose we could do a version where that's already done. I'll keep that in mind since it's easy enough to do but I don't think FSS should be eliminated completely by the project.

That definitely sounds interesting. Whatever can be done to enhance the game. :)

That would be a bit fiddly, but seems doable. It would be great if we could get it to work properly since we could also do a career stats update in addition to getting the right ages without editing birthdates.

Problem with that is we would have to do it for all teams, and do the batch file on 29 rosters, releasing 29 dynasty saves, and people wouldn't get a chance to change their staff or their training camp on the first year. Although you could force a "real" staff if you wanted to patch that in. Not sure how that would turn out in the middle of a dynasty because the DAT save files may reference them. Remember the crashing caused by applying a staff update to a current dynasty?

Lots of little issues with it as you can see.

It should work alright if the simulation is started with a real staff patch, it would just be a matter of setting the contract lengths to run through the 2008/2009 season. But you're right, it's a lot of fiddling around and it would be an inconvenience to include 30 different saves in addition to the regular rosters. Probably still doable but not ideal.

why 30 different saves? isnt changing a team in dynasty just a simple change of 1 value in the teams.dbf?

and this way we could even include the draft by not simulating past the preseason.
Opinions are my own.

Unfortunately not, it can be done but it's extremely glitchy and usually results in a crash at some point.

What will be the basis for the ratings of players, I thinks there's a Rating Machine 2.3 and it was very realistic because it was base on real stats in NBA.com

In rosters of Sir Andrew, I think the THREEPTATT needs to UPDATE, Raja Bell had only 20, I think he shot 40-50% in 3 points.

Thank You.

The ratings will be based on their performance during the 2007/2008 season.

I'm currently working on ratings for players in the original rosters. I've also removed players who have retired or are unlikely to return from the active rosters and updated various elements such as the stadium names, coaches etc.

Nothing to report. If I do have a progress report I'll be sure to post it; in the absence of one, you can assume I don't have anything new to say at this time.
