Nah, 99.9% of his posts in NBA Talk are about how great Paul Pierce is. At one point he proclaimed Gerald Green as a better player than Vince Carter. He was dead serious.

Suggestion @ Andrew: Drop Pierce's overall to 50 for the next update in the hope that it spawns mass Pierce fan suicides.

Something needs to be done about Yao's passing skills. In the game, he always averages like 5 assists a game, but in real life his carreer high is like 1.4 a game. ???? Whats up with that? I know he is a "good passer" but his numbers dont warrent the rating.

You know what? I'm really, really disgusted and very fed up. There is absolutely no call for that kind of bullshit. I put all this time into the rosters, make the changes that people ask for and then I get blasted for it? That's totally ridiculous.

This is exactly the kind of attitude that makes the roster patching a real chore. I listen to the feedback, spend my free time doing roster updates so that you don't have to do any of the work yourself, free of charge...and you still aren't happy and spout off these rude comments.

I'm sick this. I'm really, really sick of this. It's bad enough I get treated like a robot who has nothing better to do than slave away over roster updates 24/7. It's bad enough I'm constantly bombarded with "Where is the patch?" "When is the patch coming?" "Why haven't you released the patch yet?" and so forth when I've explained the situation til I'm blue in the face. But I draw the line here. I am disgusted. Totally and utterly disgusted.

Quite frankly, I don't see why I should continue with the updates because I should not have to put up with this bullshit. The next update - if I do decide to release it (and you can bet it will be when I please and not a moment sooner) - might be the last for NBA Live 06, especially if this shit is going to continue.

Now, despite your utter rudeness and disrespect, I will answer that question. As suggested, I've raised the blocking ratings of Gerald Wallace and Josh Smith to around 80, as they're averaging over 2 blocks per game. Prince on the other hand is averaging .49 blocks per game, which is why I felt it should come down and making him an inside stopper was a bit much.

rip should be a scorer but i have no idea what was going through your head when you took away sheeds and tayshauns stopping ability, seriously man, especially tayshuan, hes one of the best defenders in the NBA

I've explained this in the other thread, but it was suggested his inside scoring rating come down. Perhaps it came down too much. That's what was "going through my head". Despite the rudeness I've had to endure here, I will consider changing it back.

I'll also take another look at Joe Johnson but the decreases there were also community for suggestions.

Happens sometimes, the archive itself is fine though. Try downloading the update again.

Now...I can take a look at those players. As you know by now, I'm open to feedback, I'm happy to go back and revise things. But there is absolutely no excuse for the manner in which you put forth those requests. It's quite easy to ask me to look at something without flat out insulting my work and behaving like spoiled brats.

And don't come back at me with not being able to accept constructive criticism, because there no way those posts were considerate or constructive. I don't want to hear it. I put up with a lot of crap as far as the updates are concerned and now I'm well and truly fed up with it.

Show some respect, have some manners, cut the attitude. Or you'll be banned. Simple as that. I don't want to have to deal with this again.

I think everyone should look at actual STATS before complaining about whether a player gets the Superstar treatment in a game. Liking a player does NOT mean that he's a scorer/stopper if his stats don't support it. Being a good defensive player who can stay in front of someone also doesn't mean that you're an Outside or Inside Stopper, which in this game means getting a lot of steals and blocks.

Suggestions about making changes to ratings are fine, but when you do make suggestions, make sure you know what the hell you're talking about, and don't act so ungrateful.

Andrew, there are people out there who appreciate your work. Don't let a few ingrates get to you.

there is more to defense than stats. some people just stay in front of there man play after play and never let you get free. those players should be counted as stoppers also. thats all im saying.

supaboy, the point about stats not being everything is well-taken and I tend to agree with that philosophy as well...there are definitely situations where that holds true. But given the way things work with the ratings in the game, I have to take many factors into account. One of those is that ratings affect simulated stats directly. The best balance is not always the perfect situation.

the changes andrew made were absoloutley right and warranted in my opinion, prince blocking as was iguodalas was way too high, 40 sounds about right. being a good defender dosent mean he has to be able to steal or block, defensive awarness, quickness length etc take into account during defence not just blocking shots.

also rasheed wallace is not an inside superstar, sorry but yeah his aiight but sheeds game is from the outisde which when looked upon for his stats this year you can see the majority of his field goal attempts are from the outside.

I haven't dled the patch yet, but it sounds good. Didn't notice any primacy value problems yet but my most recent dynasty might be off 1.05 so i'll take your word.

Btw, if you want Pierce to be 99 overall, or have a rating of 80 in blocking, do it youself, it only takes like 5 minutes maximum.

The only real test for Primacy is to simulate a season with injuries turned off (which is what I do a few times before each release, for multiple reasons) just to see how it goes without any recalculations. That's about the best I can do with Primacy this year...hopefully NBA Live 07 will not have the same issue. It's disappointing, I'd love to be able to improve that area but issues with the stats/sim engine really limit me there.
