then it's supposed to be called superstar jump. but i dont think that the purpose for that is rebounding. the purpose is blocking and rebounding wont make any difference as the normal. it just happened that inside scorers have high rebounding abilities.

if you make yourself believe that there is a superstar rebound. good for you. psych yourself.

Okafor jumped like that when I pressed the "Superstar Rebound". It's a lot different from the normal rebound. And it didn't looked like he was trying to block anybody,

i mean inside stoppers. :D i just tried grabbing for the rebound using the superstar "rebound" and i humbly say yes.. it has a different movement. i've only tried it once.. but i think i've seen a non inside stopper doing the same movement. i don't know if it's due to the position or what.. i just still want to verify if other players without that superstar "rebound" can do the same action or if inside stoppers can do that movement even without holding the superstar trigger but they are in a good position under the basket.

but still.. a good position under the basket and timing is the key for effective rebounding. in defense, using the spurs i often use only a shooting guard trying to steal and intercept passes and leave the CPU to guard other positions. (i always run to the basket whenever the opponent does a jumpshot) but my SG (manu) averages more rebounds than duncan or mohammed. it's also maybe due to the high jump of manu.

peace!

im not sure but i kno there are 2 different kinds of rebounds. the normal ones, and then the crazy ones. the crazy ones being only used by inside stoppers. it might not be the "superstar rebound", because i didnt kno it existed... but it could be. its wen the player jumps up higher and kind of blocks his guy out in mid air... he goes, up, catches the ball with 2 hands, and holds it firmly while shielding the ball as he comes down wit his body... basically theres no way to stop it once the player take off....sheed, b-wallace, KG, guys like that do it a lot against me wen i play vs the comp... ive also done it only a few times, but only with dwight howard...

Hmm I personally did few "crazy" rebounds with only the Block/Rebound button, without any Superstar trigger...

i have seen quite a number of spectacular rebounds but never knew you could control it. havea feeling its more a random thing like the "splitting through 2 defenders" move on some scorers

OK, here's that video I was talking bout. It shows the difference between a basic superstar rebound and a regular rebound. Elton and Amare do the Superstar Rebound. The other guys do the regular rebound.

There is diffinately a superstar rebound, I can do them sometimes, the only problem is like Bynike said, they don't always take off and they also sometimes go in the wrong direction. I'm probably just shit or haven't mastered it but there is definately a superstar rebound.

Also, I have to agree with Bynike that the computer abuses the move and they are very good at doing it (which really pisses me off).
