They'll introduce it in 2007 as a new feature :P

so it proved that EA was rushing their time to release the games for the next generation.

That's why there're tons of bugs remaining in Live06.

But the marketing department of EA is still professional since they always promote the highlighted features well and make profits.

I think they are trying to release the game as the same time the xb360 release.

I hear from my sources that NBA Live for XBOX 360 will be a bunch of high-resolution sweaty men standing around and scratching themselves. You have to wait till 2007 till they add nets and a ball.

Sounds good, release!

That sounds just like the majority of the posts in the Announcements forum

Have any of you guys watched the NBa Live 06 vids for XBOX 360 at IGN i watched a 30 second clip of Sonics vs Detroit and it was looking alright until they started playing it didn't look right at all. The way they shot, the movement and the ball got stuck in the net on the first goal. :x

Why would you leave out like one of the most important features :?

The answer is simple - they want you to buy the game this year for its incredible graphics and next year too for the franchise mode addition :) simple as that. I already know your game EA. You can't fool me anymore.

Actually, I'd say it's mostly a case of trying to explain/find a reason for things than making excuses.

Are we 100% sure? Hope there's at least Online play. :|

That's true Andrew. I am just in bad mood recently and I forgot about diplomacy.

The thing is that I was looking forward to this year Live editions (both current and next gen consoles) I'd rather prefer to get 1 great game out of the 2, instead of what seem to be 2 mediocre games. You may say Live 06 is fun this year, but I was expecting a lot more. At least to see some of major bugs carried from last 2 versions fixed. Take franchise: you may have some realism in the first year, but after that you see big names left in the FA pool, leading scorers like Kobe averaging 18ppg....Take gameplay: what's up with Shaq completing an alley-oop from behind the Board, simply dunking through it?

At some point, it becomes hard to always find an explanation. I am a business person and I see what's EA strategy. They spend millions in marketing, while they should allocate their resoursces better, like expanding their developers team. I don't care about seing a TV commercial which doesn't really reflect what I am going to buy. And I hate to hear sales guys at the store pushing live over other products just because they get commissions from EA. I say spend that money in making a better game, instead of playing tricks to competition.

At the end of the day, everyone is free to spend his money as he wants. But as LIVE fan from the old days of 1997, I basically got tired of EA's way. I am not going to buy either LIVE this year, trying to show that my money should be earned, not granted.
That said, I'll try to be less aggressive in my posts.

Some of these responses remind me of a friend I used to know who basically said:

Me: Dude, how long are you gonna take your girl repeated cheating on you?

Friend: Oh, well it's okay, because she always come back, besides we still have kinks in our relationship that we need to work out.

Me: Dude you're getting phukked over and you're just gonna take it? You should really try to find someone else that's better for you.

Friend: Well man, I think she's really gonna change this time.

It's called an analogy. Go look it up.

So why did you even ask anything at all? Especially if you don't have time or don't give a shit?

I agree that EA sucks these few years.

But this is the fact that EA want to make money and they DID.

business is business.

Although we all want EA to put most of the resources on making the game better, we are just a small portion of their customers.

I am not defending EA but I realise that this is what a big corporation always do.

So far it works because only few customers, like me, you and a few others, realize that their product isn't good. But the majority still thinks EA is the best, when it' not, obviously. If more people understand there is at least one game which is better than LIVE out there, then EA would be forced to shift strategy and try to beat competition with a better product, instead of nasty tricks.

Thu Oct 06, 2005 3:55 pm

Maybe they made a mistake and meant Season mode, because there is no "Frianchise" mode and it could me anything.....

If they do leave it out....what the fuck would be the point in getting it for next gen? Unless maybe you are gonna pay to play online

Thu Oct 06, 2005 4:04 pm

Nah they said Season mode would be included, so I think they're fairly precise in what they meant. I won't buy the game, it'd be a complete waste of money. I'd rather wait until 07 when Franchise mode is some huge addition that they'll talk about non stop.

Thu Oct 06, 2005 6:35 pm

yeah, and then in 08 the allstar weekend, 09 the freestyle superstars...
i could use the ea sports version of that kobe pic here, but i wont

Or maybe i will

what are you? stupid?
the reason they havnt put it in, is because they want to make money - and no matter how many people dont like it, (me for one - im not getting a 360 now...) it is an excellent idea from a marketing perspective.

06 - new console, great graphics, great gameplay - they can sell that
07 - all the features you love (all star weekend, dynasty mode etc.)

or they could be cunts and implement it over a 20yr period
