Freestyle Superstar Types Screenshots [9/17]

Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

Postby Point God on Sun Sep 18, 2005 7:09 am

^^ thats what i'm tryin to say .. darius IS a high flyer!! i seen him do windmills and shit... and he doe slike the same dunks as stromile swift! just doesnt do them as HARD...

and...
There are normal players, and SUPERSTARS... And when you watch an NBA game you see the diference between "normal" players and the ones that make all easily and well done. EA made a great feature for this game, I'm sure of that.

i'll tell you now... Ridnour is NOT a superstar, if ridnour is a superstar... pryzbilla is too

darius can do better dunks than swift any day.
as far as the freestyle superstar goes, ridnour is not one and he shouldn't be a playmaker. if ea can make ridnour a superstar then they have to make telfair too.

Possible Misses [Highlighted are most important]:
Gerald Green - Highflyer
Gerald Wallace - Highflyer, could be a stopper
Eddy Curry - Power
Brevin Knight - Playmaker
Donyell Marshall - Shooter
Nene - Power, Insider Stopper [could be outisde because he steals]
Andre Miller - Playmaker
Chauncey Billups - Shooter
Rip Hamilton - Outisde scorer, shooter [I'm not sure if it counts for mid-range shooters]
Mickael Pietrus - Outside stopper
TJ Ford - Playmaker
Stackhouse - Outside Scorer
Livingston - Playmaker
Marko Jaric - Outside stopper [he can steal]
Grant Hill - Outside Scorer
Jalen Rose - Inside Scorer
Matt Bonner - Shooter
Andre Emmett - Highflyer
James Posey - Outside stopper
Gilbert Arenas - Shooter
Shareef Abdur-Rahim - Inside Scorer
Zach Randolph - Inside Scorer

Tony Allen - Highflyer, Outside Stopper
Shane Battier - Outside and maybe also inside stopper
Fred Jones - Highflyer
Damon Jones - Shooter
Antonio McDyess - Inside scorer
Travis Outlaw - Highflyer
Joel PrzyBilla - Inside Stopper
Vladimir Radmonovic - Shooter
Bobby Simmons - Shooter [if mid-range counts]
Wally Szczerbiak - same as Simmons
Daruis Miles - Highflyer

Rookies
Gerald Green - Highflyer
Chris Paul - Playmaker
Hackim Warrick - High flyer
Martell Wabester - Shooter
Rashad McCants - Shooter
Joey Graham - High flyer
Nate Robinson - High flyer
Deron Williams - Playmaker
Raymond Felton - Playmaker
Salim Stoudemire - Shooter

Stopper problems:
Tayshaun Prince - Inside stopper?
Billups - He was on the All-Defensive 1st team, but he's not that great man to man, and he's not a stealer.
J-Rich - Outside stopper [he's not a great stealer, and he's a weak man to man defender], weird one
Marbury - His man to man defense is weak, and his steal is above average, but I didn't think 1.49 steals in 40 MPG would make you a stopper in terms of steal rating
Francis - Same as others
Bosh - He's not that good a shot blocker or man to man defender

when i checked ridnour's stats, he had 5.9 assists last year. damon stoudmire had 5.7 assists last year and he is not a playmaker. i guess whoever has 5.9 or more assits is a playmaker.

You have to look at the minutes too...

So lemme get this straight, you can only activate one ability? out of the many your play has?

One on offense, and one on defense, it's because of the button configuration, all the superstar moves use the same buttons, so a guy can't have 2 on offesne at the same time because it wouldn't work

i don't know how ea give these superstar abilities to some players who don't deserve it, but actually doesn't give to players who deserve it.
the good thing is we can edit players who thats not a problem.
i just have to mention this once again that if a guy such a darius miles is 3rd or 4th in nba for most made dunks, a guy who can jump high, a guy who can do windmeal and a lot of other dunks, why wouldn't you put him as a highflyer.

no your crying about how ea doesnt know how to rate players. Not to mention that these screens are from a beta version of the game. You dont even know if these are final and you are already crying. On top of that you can edit these players so they do have those abilities.

on the other hand...

OH MY GOD RYAN BOWEN ISNT A STOPPER!!! WHAT THE HELL EA!!! BURN IN HELL!!!
This sig was too offensive for the kids.

I think you guys are missing the point of Freestyle Superstars. IT'S TO SEPERATE THE STARS FROM THE OTHER PLAYERS IN THE LEAGUE!!!!! You can't go and give all these players superstar features, it would defeat the purpose of having Freestlye Superstars in the first place!!! There should only be a handful of players who have the superstar feature, not 100 guys!!!!!
