the reason josh smith will have such a high rating is because (knowing ea) they will max out his dunking, jumping, and possibly blocking. this will highly affect the overall rating, but wont necessarily make him play well, because as most of us know, he really doesnt do anything else, yet.

Well, in real life he can play PG, SG, SF and PF. He's an excelent passer and a tremendous atlete. A strong and fast defender too... I think he has more strenghts than weaknesses.

i hope i'm not alone when i say there is no way in hell josh smith can play point guard, even SG is in question, because he doesnt have a very good shot. anyone agree? i sure hope so.
ps. i have nothing against josh smith, hes awesome, but i kn ow he cant play PG

I remember that he played three games as starting PG this season, and he is a good passer. His shot range is about 5 - 6 meters away from the basket, but he has prety nice touch. Anyways, it doesn't matter so much if a PG is not a great Shooter ( Andre Miller is even worse shooter than Josh )

Your a fucking retard. Let me guess. You think that Carmello should be 95?

On what basis? Lebron probably had the best stats of anyone in the league last year. And in ratings...well...I don't see any real weaknesses he has. Any. The worst would probably be defensive awareness and that won't be lower than 60 or so.
I'd put him around 95 OVR.

Seems strange that they'd go back to the 50-99 scale when 0-99 has proven more practical, though I suppose I wouldn't rule it out.

The Other Kevin,
You think that Carmello should be 95?
LeBron>Carmelo
LeBron for me is 87 and Carmelo is 80

carmelo is so overrated. i mean, why would anybody put carmelo anthony in the live cover for the last year when you could put lebron, ai, duncan, shaq, tmac or even ak47 would have been better than him.

Josh Smith deserves about a 95 for dunking, and about a 90 for blocking, and a 90 for defensive awarness. Put the stregth up to about 77, and speed around 80. Everything else though shouldn't be high at all.

Yeah right, do you know anything about basketball?

His dunking and jumping should be in the 90's, and his speed should be between 80-85. Ouside of that he should not have that high of stats

Yes, I do. Apparently you need some help though.
Dunk Rating : 95 - He's the dunk champ for a reason.
Block: 90 - 10 blocks in a game on the Mavs, has swat Shaq, and every other big name. He has been on Sports Center's Top 10 with blocked shots just as much as dunks.
Defensive Awareness: 90 - Besides the dunk his game is mostly all D.
Strength: 77 - Not the strongest, but a little stronger than average.
Speed: 80 - He moves pretty damn quick.
Then everything else is low.
These seem like very logical ratings for Josh Smith this year.

lol @ josh smith's 90 def. awareness... to make 1 spectacular shot block every now and then doesn't make him a shut-down superstar defensive specialist like bowen, prince, artest, etc.... 80 would be about a bit too much, 75-77 seems fair. and 0.8 steals a game for a perimeter defender seems below average too.
Tue Sep 13, 2005 3:35 pm
his block rating will be around 75, strength 68, jump and dunk in low 90's and DA about 72.

That sounds too overrated..it is being exagerated..Common make the game much realistic..Even Michael dont deserve that rating i mean hello??!!!are you okay?
