Well, why does basketball always have to be related to rap music only??? In my opinion, associating basketball with rap ghettoizes the game. I also think it will give Live 06 a different feel if you had more rock music in it seeing that GOOD music never dies (case in point many rock songs) whereas rap (and pop) songs are "IN" one day and "OLD" or "OUT" the next because people have gotten bored of them.

I hate rap music, personally I would be happy if either A) if they have to have rappers in it, at least find some decent ones, or B) make the sound track customisable so I can just listen to my own stuff.

My post refered to the numerous other threads we've had about this subject, the main defence is generally "rap goes well with basketball" etc etc... as far as songs being In and Out, I think 90% of the songs ever on an NBA Live soundtrack were generally Out. Apart from Hip Hop Hooray and the like.

I'm not going to defend hiphop, it's just a matter of preference anyway. You can't make a soundtrack that everyone likes, I'm sure there are people that hate the rock soundstracks that NHL has every year too.

I could definitely live with that soundtrack... "Dance, Dance" is a great song.

hey, they actually have a mix of rock and rap. the nfs: underground has a good mix of rock, rap and techno songs too so why can't they do it with live?

My point exactly!!!! More variation!!! I'm not saying to stop adding rap into the soundtrack, but they should add better songs, and in todays music , you have to go with more rock songs. and again, they should look into bring in old songs from the past. wouldn't it be awsome to listen to Guns N' Roses as you setting up your line-up during dynasty mode????
