The problem then is the game always reorders the rosters and will put him at point guard with Duhon coming off the bench, which I'd rather avoid.

increase channing frye....in the game he's way too slow
Sun Dec 18, 2005 11:40 am
hey andrew...i dont know if this has been asked but will your next roster have the dbf's edited so that the rookies will have their faces and portriats that r in the sgsm folder....unlike your version 1 has...
Sun Dec 18, 2005 2:43 pm
Good news and bad news, as tradition dictates, bad news first: I won't be able to release the update tonight. The good news is that the update is almost finished but I won't finish what I'm part the way through at the moment so it's best I don't release it unfinished. The other good news is that I have a few days off around Christmas and not much else to do apart from a couple of family things, so I should have plenty of time in the next week and a bit to finish it up and release it as a Christmas present (or slightly late Christmas present anyhow).
Sorry to delay it again, but I don't think anyone wants an update for Dynasty Mode with the salaries half-done and the primacy ratings all messed up.

No, because then it causes problems for the folks that don't have certain face patches installed.
Sun Dec 18, 2005 2:50 pm
ok...but dont you think most people have patches for the rookies by now....anyways...thanks for updating the rosters....
Sun Dec 18, 2005 2:57 pm
In my experience, no, not everyone downloads missing face patches. Needless to say I'll edit the dbfs to accomodate any face patches distributed with the rosters.
Sun Dec 18, 2005 3:11 pm
hey andrew, are you going to be updating the players salary cap as well?
btw, thanks for the good news.
Sun Dec 18, 2005 3:47 pm
I'm updating contract lengths and the salary amounts.

y not?????
maybe andrew...it might take to much time or even u might not want 2 but maybe u could do 2 different rosters updates with one normal and the other with the dbf edited....or at lease take a vote to see if people would want it like that...
Sun Dec 18, 2005 4:30 pm
Uh...no. I might have already mentioned a couple of times about a lack of free time. Additionally, since everyone has a different number of face patches installed folks are still going to run into the same problem. Sorry but there's absolutely no way I'd even consider doing that. It's a lot of extra work that wouldn't solve the problem.

because im happy with the cyberfaces that EA has, and if its a created player then they really arent that important to have a face patch, and i can live with that. I dont want to be forced into downloading crappy facepatches.
Sun Dec 18, 2005 6:00 pm
Well i know you can't promise that next week u will be finishing the roster patch for sure, but r u almost done man? sry 4 asking everytime i just cant wait for the updated rosters
p.s.
Andrew Bugut a PF!? can't be man his pure center.. u have to change it!
maybe he can play as a PF but his now only a center!.!!
Sun Dec 18, 2005 7:12 pm
Andrew already said the goal was the 27th....
and Bogut has been playing PF for the last few games with Magloire C, Redd SF, Mo SG, Ford PG.
Mon Dec 19, 2005 7:57 am
I've already posted a progress report.
As for Bogut, it's a similar situation to Hinrich which I already explained. With the way the game reorders the rosters I basically have to switch players to the position they've been playing/starting at.

hey andrew,
i think lebron needs an upgrade in FT bec he has shown improvement.. block also up.. his defense has improved over last year but i think the guy doesnt deserve the outside stopper ability yet so his defensive awareness should go down.. and could you look into his 3pt shooting or fg, i dont know if he deserves improvement in those categories or not.. he attempts 4.5 a game and hits 35% of them
hughes' fg should go down (lebron's better than him in fg).. but that would remove his outside scorer ability
i think wade needs a lower 3pt rating.. thanks..
Mon Dec 19, 2005 8:23 pm
Noted.
Wed Dec 21, 2005 12:24 pm
and if you can please do something about Josh Smith's rating. He does not deserve a 80. not even close. i haven't really checked why he's ratings are high, but other than the fact that he has high ratings in dunk, jump, block...ie athletic ratings, he's shouldn't get too high of a rating. just a thought. thanks
Wed Dec 21, 2005 4:06 pm
I've noticed that too, I'm sure his overall will drop to something more suitable after I review his ratings.

I agree, Josh Smith doesn't deserve a 80 at all. Something around 70 would be better.
Will Ginobili's ratings be a bit reduced ? because I think he didn't start the season like he finished last year.

Tony Parker may deserve a 78-79 overall because he starts very well in my opinion.
Wed Dec 21, 2005 8:00 pm
Andrew, I was wondering whether you are going to review Mo William's ratings. This guy has been putting up huge numbers off the bench and starting at the SG position. He's clutch 3 point shooting has been a major part of the Buck's early success so maybe that should be increased. Also I'm not sure what his quickness and speed are set to, but they should be similar to TJ Ford's ( a guy that can keep up with Iverson and Parker).
Also TJ Ford's 3 pt number should increase slightly because in this season, particularly the last couple of games, he has shot extremely well from that range.
I think it may be necessary too to decrease Bogut's FG and FT ratings slightly as he hasn't been shooting great (but still quite good

) but maybe increase his Offensive rebound as he has been strong in that area.
Can't wait for the release, thanks for all your top notch work!
Wed Dec 21, 2005 8:23 pm
I'm reviewing as many people's ratings as possible, so I'll take a look at him as well.
Wed Dec 21, 2005 8:37 pm
Cheers Andrew!! Sorry if what I wrote was seemed as somewhat demanding that was not my intentions. I understand how busy you are and I really appreciate the effort you apply to maintaining this patch and providing an avenue for people with an interest in NBA Live to associate. Hopefully your still finding enough time to play the game and relax.
Wed Dec 21, 2005 10:28 pm
Bogut should have his fg inside scoring and blocking rating raised abit how he is playong.
