brad feet wrote:70 is just fine, plus set the fatigue effect at 55 because bench guys seems to get tired faster than starters. hope that helps.......

to ijbl, the fatigue effect at 55 is another modification in my sliders(final version), it seems to counter the fast paced game speed at 55. you have to play with your bench and therefore not allowing your star players to score a lot and have a high fg %....... updates soon.....

Sounds good, I'll be sure to give them a go. :)

Well i finally have found the SIM sliders after about 2 weeks, i found the following :mind u ima SIM PLAYER here

1)i was able to limit CPU scores to 21-24pts the first 2 quarters and last quarter with good defense

2)i had to play ULTRA defense in the 3rd quarter,i swear, i couldnt stop CPU in the 3rd quarter, if u slack off, the CPU will go off on u, so u better play GREAT D,wen i did, they scored about 25-28pts,usually if i didnt, they dropped about 31-36

Expect about 12 calls to be blown, 6 for u , 6 for CPU, even refs make bad calls right?

Score at the end of games should be around 109-115ppg for High powered teams like the Suns, most teams averaged about 99-102ppg

Now the most impressive thing about these sliders are the field goal % it gives
I shot about 43-45% and CPU was usually in the 44-47% range

Rebounds as we all know are problematic this year, however i averaged about 15 offensive boards and CPU was about 14, they were really balanced

TEAM: I played with the Nets and im the kinda player who runs plays, i mix dem up, from an uptempo game, to a halfcourt as well, i shoot the midrange jumper,3's, involve the bench and i take time to execute on offense,on the fastbreak, i dont HOLD ANYTHING back, its a REAL SICK!

DEFENCE:I found dat using these ff defenses were really KEY
a)Box and 1
b)1-3-1 Zone
c)Half court man to man
d)1-2-1-1 Press

LAST NOTE:Do not CLING so close to the CPU player when on defense, u gotta stay back a bit if not, they gonna get u with their first step

Here's mine... well, actually not (please read the Credits at da bottom)

In Game Settings:
Difficulty: All-Star/Superstar Level
Quarter: 12 Minutes

Rules:
3 In The Key : off

Assign High Pressure Defense to all PF's and C's for both CPU and Human players

General:

Game Speed: 20 - 36 (I used da 1st one, yes it's kinda slow so da score won't be too high)
Free Throw Difficulty: 50 - 65 (I grab da 1st one too coz I'm not dat good on FT)
Boundary Force Field: 60
Injury Frequency: 40
Fatigue Effect: 50
Charge/Block Foul Frequency: 65
Shooting Foul Frequency: 20
Reach-in Foul Frequency: 50
In-air Collision Foul Frequency: 60

User/CPU:

Steal Ability: 20/20
Interception Ability: 20/20
Shot Block Ability: 55/55
Dunk/Lay-up Block Ability: 55/55
Freestyle Effectiveness: 40/40
Dunk vs. Lay-up Frequency: 5/5
Substitution Frequency: 0/70
On-ball Defense Assist: 60/-
Offensive Rebounding: 0/0
Defensive Rebounding: 100/100
Fakeout Discipline: 100/90
Short Range Shooting: 35/35
Medium Range Shooting: 38/38
Long Range Shooting: 40/40
Dunk Percentage: 35/35
Lay-up Percentage: 33/33
Adjusted Shot Percentage: 40/40
Adjusted Shot Frequency: -/35
On-ball Physical Defense: 90/90
Poor Release Shot Percent: 45/45
Double-team Effectiveness: 60/60
Pro Hop Effectiveness: 30/30
Drop Step Effectiveness: 30/30

I've just test them once as Dallas on All-Star diff. with 12 Minutes/Quarter

Yes, there's one created player there as a starting SG,
but his ovrl rating is only 60 with 65 FG, 62 3PT, 68 FT, 75 DUNK, 35 INS.SCR

O.Rebs is still an issue here coz I didn't make any change on *.dbf

Credits goes to:
Playmakers
SHAFT23
nicosantos76
brad_feet
ijbl

Their original one looks really good, but I can't make my decision on which one I'm gonna use
I just mixed up their Settings & Tweak it a little bit so it can fit (at least) me. Hope y'all guys didn't mind it

Please give me feedback or ANY suggestion to make it much better :D

Flipz, I just wanna thank you IMMENSLY for your sliders!

I've been all around the net and LITERALLY tried like every set that there is. I guess me and you just have the same playing style, because your sliders are PERFECT for me.

Everything you explained in your post is 100% true for my playing style. Every statistic is bang on, and I can finally play a game on all star and not shoot like 33% and get my ass handed to me. Your set also doesn't take away from the great features that were built into Live 06. Other sets lower the ability of you to make the great moves, making them pointless and the games boring. With yours I can finally use the moves, but NOT abuse them.

My aim is for anyone who cannot decide on a set, or anyone who is having serious difficulty on another set, to try your sliders. Guys, some of the numbers may seem off at first glance (I thought game speed in the 30's and some of the other sliders were definately questionable), but once you try them you will realise that they are actually GREAT and work perfectly.

Thanks for giving me hope when I was giving up with this game. I was back to playing ESPN NBA 2K5 for a day!

COOL, thanks man :D .......its just so crazy how i focused on each part of the sliders so it works ultimately in togetherness to give the SIM live fan, the most realistic results.....its easy to say lower the quarter minutes but IMO, if i dont play 12mins, i jsut dont feel like im playing a SIM game....im glad it worked for u  :D , thanks

Mon Oct 31, 2005 9:16 pm

I've been playing 9 minutes Superstar since Live 2005, I recently tried 12 min and lower game speed just to see the difference. One thing I noticed is that its easier to stay in front of your opponent on defense, another is that there are more open looks because the defense can't recover as fast. It also cuts the offensive rebounding down a tad. I have game speed at 30, when I tried 25 it seemed as if players were only jogging when I used turbo and High flyers seemed to get a speed boost when they go up for a dunk, so I use 30.High scoring teams are in the 110+ area. I combined my sliders at 9 min with some I found on this site, and I found good results. Thank you all. I think this is a great foundation for building personal sliders.

sorry, i don have good english. just wondering, by simulate, does it mean that u play simulate games instead of action ones, or u meant you just simulate the game(the cpus will play, and u get the result?) just wondering~
and ur slider is pretty good, but shouldnt u make off rebound 0, and def rebound 100? that way, u prevent cpu and u get more off rebound?

no problem, ill explain better

By simulation, i mean giving the user , the feel of playing a REAL basketball game in the nba and so the stats gotten at the end of each game are just as realistic as the real nba

I just finished a game where i had 16 off boards and CPU had 9, i think dats pretty fair, considering how EA messed up wit the Offensive rebs, however on the defensive side, CPU grabbed 25rebs and i grabbed 23rebs  kinda makes it fair...if u have any other questions, u could ask and ill try my best to answer

Hi
Sorry for my english
I wanna start my dynasty mode season but first to start i wanna find "real sliders"
I play level superstar and 12 mins

What's the most real sliders of this postes? (with a real score,no so high and other "real" stats)
I see in NBA site that a lot of teams end with 90 ppg,max 115 ppg

Help me please, I'm desperated :)

Wed Nov 02, 2005 9:50 am

Hi !

I played a game vs. the Pistons.

It was realistic, and i'm happy :)

But all I can say: DEFENSE !!!

It's is the key to play a realistic match.
As Playmakers say: Use your PG on the defense, and watch, how your teammates make the dirty work.

So: Here are the stats, and the SHOT DISPLAY.

Image

Detroit score 46 pts in the paint. it's a littlebit high, because they score 90 pts, but this 46 is near to realism. They score 18 pts from midrange. So

it's okay. Iverson was good in the first 3 quarter. He scored 11/17. But the last period he was only 1/10.

In the 2nd quarter I had 6 stl, so I 'd a BIG DEFENSE.

In the 4th, I shot very poor (watch Iverson 1/10 Fg), and Detroit scored some points, and won the game. But it was realistic, players stats is also

real.

Iverson: 30 pts, 4 stl, 12/27 fg
Korver: 14 pts, 5/17 fg, 2/8 3pt
Iguodala:12 pts, 6/15 fg
Webber: 10 pts, 3/12
Dalembert: 13 rebound, 3 blk

***
Billups: 13 pts, 7 ast, 4/14
Hamilton: 14 pts, 6/15
Prince: 8 pts, 4/16
R. Wallace: 20 pts, 12 reb, 3 blk, 9/13 fg (Player Of The Game)
B. Wallace: 13 pts, 13 reb, 2 blk

I use Playmakers sliders settings, and team strategies on All Star level, 11 minutes quarter.
