So now that Andrew's new roster patch is out and I've installed it in my game, should I edit my dunkpack now.... (addressed to bigh0rt and lilvc22) or should I hold off and not be in such a rush.....If you get my drift *wink, wink* :wink:

Tue Feb 14, 2006 8:57 am

What's the difference between dunkpack 18 and 14, and what's the difference between dunkpacks 1, 2, and 3, or mainly 2 and 3?

Edit: I also have a suggestion that maybe you can sort the old dunk packs within this new list(to help with roster editing/aside from player specific ones) like:
0=0
3=2,14
11=6,17
etc, and what do you use for athletic forwards like Gerald Wallace?

sry i havent viewed forum for a while. can i ask a question? are we changing dunks ourself? or r u guys releasing it?

They changed the dunkpacks, we manually put in their changes, they will release it....supposedly :roll:...We'll just have to see....maybe :roll: Just don't ask questions about the release date...they "spaz" out if you do, understandably so...who knows when they'll release...*Shrugs Shoulders*...Oh well.

My suggestion is to wait for the release, and check out the packs yourselves. You'll find there are players who can fit into some of the custom packs, because they don't have the FSS abilities, etc. etc. For example, pack 14 is Jason Richardson's, but I find that it suits Richard Jefferson as well, so I have RJ as pack 14 as well. However, some others may like him as a pack 18 instead, or possibly others.

We can't really give you an equivalence from the default packs, since there was seemingly no rhyme or reason to the way EA did or assigned them.

As for Gerald Wallace, I'm not sure where I want him yet. I'm also not sure if I want him as a Highflyer or not. As I said previously, it's all a matter of personal preference, and after the release, you'll be able to check out the packs in Individual Practice mode and see which dunkpack suits players specifically.

arden, there's no need to drop the "supposedly" releasing and the "spaz". I'm not sure what purpose either serve. The patch will clearly be released, but unlike some who release before things are ready due to pressures similar to the ones you can see in this thread, lilvc doesn't want to deal with the headache of it all, so understandably, he wants it to be 100% good to go before he releases a link. As far as I know, I'm the only other person with a copy of the aiact as it goes along, and trust me when I tell you, it's worth every second you wait.

New dunk pack looks good so far!!!

I was thinking of doing one like this myself, but find it hard to make time
these days. Good to see someone else is having a go. They can be a bit tricky to put together, without any game crashes,

If you need any help or knowledge in getting this baby released by all means let me know.

So fools who keep posting "release". give these guys a break!!!! It takes a while to release quality work that totally changes the games we play.

Is this dude serious?

Come on man, look at what you just wrote. You want some to give you the link to this file before its even been released. How is that gonna happen? Are you kidding????? Please....tell me you are.........

Guys, do us all a favor, stop posting stupid 'release' request. I want this file just as much as everyone else. Everytime this topic goes to the top of the forum, most of us check it to see if there is any new worthwhile news, ideas, or questions. But it is getting really old with the release stuff. Especially since that has been asked & responded to already.

These guys will release it when it is ready & to give you file before they are ready to release, just because you wrote in CAPS, is pathetic. Please wait like the rest of us. If that is too much for you to do, I have an idea.......DO THE DAMN AIACT FILE YOURSELF!

Sorry for the vent, but every other post in this topic is a 'release' demand. Hopefully someone will take time to read this post & not repeat the same mistake eveyone else keeps making in demanding the release.

I just have to agree, BUT i can understand that everybody is a little bit impatient, cuz this patch is real hot.
People like me, and I think I noticed arden, too, are just waiting for that hot patch, but bighort said we should start editing dunkpacks and now we did that and have to wait and wait and wait......

I know its a hard work, and i respect that, but at least dont make us even more impatient by news like edit your dunkpacks and stuff :wall:

Full respect

Hov

Actually, it was lilvc who said it, and what he said, specifcally, was to make a copy of your roster and edit that, in anticipation of the release, which is a great idea. (Y)

Wed Feb 15, 2006 3:59 am

No doubt Hova. We're on the same page about that. When I saw that lilvc said for us to go ahead & edited our dunkpacks, I was pumped! It was a great idea to have us do that in advance so this way we won't be spending our time on it when it does come out. My whole frustration isn't with those that are eargerly anticipating the release patientily, but those who are demanding it be release right now.

Nobody is paying lilvc or bighort to do what they are doing. Any contribution (whenever it may be) to this game is far above & beyond what we paid EA for the game. I just wish people like you & I were more in numbers. Giving these guys their respect & our patience. They don't have to share their creation, so who are we to complain they haven't yet?

Everybody contributing here does it because they want to, not because they have to. Lord knows they've made my NBA Live experience a hell of alot better. I just felt it was time to speak up for those of us who benefit from their contributions (but aren't talented enough to give back) to let them know we appreciate whatever they create. Thats just my two cents.......

Im totally down with that!!
My NBA is completely patched, im here everyday to look for new cf and stuff, every court in my game is by a patcher, and I always say that im glad that if EA didnt get their jobs done there are patchers doin, what they do not have to do !

But I also have to admit, this file is gonna be so damn HOT !

And im just an impatient person, but I know its just impolite to request the release and stuff.
Maybe im just writin anything in this thread to get more hints about how far their work is and what we can expect

Respect
hov

i clap my hands for lilvc22 and other workers for the patch

Wed Feb 15, 2006 6:01 am

hey guys i am as impatient as you too but we should wait for the greatest
patch will be
