I.E. some players are being picked for their potential while others are being picked for the immediate impatct they'll have, for instance in last years draft, Marvin Williams was picked for his potential so a destiny of 0 would be given to him, but a lower rating because people like Chris Paul and Andrew Bogut provide immediate impact...

I would say Adam Morrison, Brandon Roy, and LaMarcus Aldrige are immediate impact players while people like Barnagni, and Rudy Gay are potential type players.

Aldridge and Morrison will probably be rated the highest, but players like Bargnani and Gay will have a better destiny rating.

It is tricky to get the right type of ratings since your overall ratings do not go by the ratings you give him. I've noticed when you go to edit a player in dynasty, just his number or gear and then save him his overall rating will change in accordance to his ratings in the dbf (offability, balability, etc.).

I've noticed when i've edited players, their overall rating doesnt actually change (even if you double their dunk rating or something) but if you sim the season and go to next season and go through the player evolution screen, their overall rating changes to reflect the improvements that you've made in the individual categories.

Example: I upped robert swift's dunk from 55 to 77 (among other things), but his rating didnt change until the next season from 59 overall to 65

But I think every player should have his own style, and he needn't to be rated highly while some rating of his advantages should be high.

Ex.JJ Redick would clearly under 72,but his FG FT 3P should be all around 80 as he is some kind of shooter superstar.

Actually, I guess you wouldnt even need to do that. Just open up the appearance.dbf and look at the generated rooks at the bottom of it. just find someone with a certain skin tone that you are looking for, and match it with the face ID. Wait, I just checked, nevermind, it just sets the generated rooks face ID to -1. So it actually makes them a cyberface assigned to a playerpkg like plyr061. So maybe if you set the new playerpkg to one of the generated rooks with the correct skintone it will work. If any of this makes sense now, I will be impressed. I wrote it all over like fifteen mintues! Good luck!

Yeah,I think what baldus says would be work.Everything associate with the cyberface and portraits is in appearance.dbf and players.dbf.And you can try the EA random draft ones, seeing what's the changing in the two files and comparing with your .bat.

Anyway,I hate pink faces and black head portraits, everyone hates them, too.

Hey,good luck for your excellent job!

I think the easiest way is to just use other players cf's for the people that do not have faces. I'll just change the fsh file to the draftees name and not worry abvout the .ebo. Then the faceid would still be -1 and you would not have to go into the appearance.dbf and change the face #'s if you install a new cf.

Well if he releases the patch and you dont like the ratings its not a big deal, you can edit them on your own through .dbf.

Hey man,I suggest you have finished work sufficiently,as there would be only 60 players to be drafted, and no more than 10 players would be signed as free agents.Others with low ratings would be disappered at the beginning of next season,so more than 80 players would be useless.

I think some of these players as Matt Haryasz,Bobby Jones ,Yemi Nicholson,Curtis Stinson,Nik Caner-Medley etc. needn't to be done exactly.Anyway it could save your time a lot.

Yes but maybe those players that are useless should be made but not complete with cyberfaces and portraits because in the offseason you can sign low rated rookies and some people like them to develop them :)

A question about editing ratings through dbf. Doesn't this crash the game? I once tried editing a player on my team in my dynasty, and the game just crashed after that. I never tried it again, as I thought it probably had somethin to do with the overall ratings. So say, for example, I have player X, whose def. rebounding is 55, and his overal rating is 80. If I want his Drbd to be 88, can I just edit DRbd to 88 without the game crashing? Or would I have to change his overall rating as well? Because if normally, he improves Drbd to 88, then his overall rating should change as well.

@OleEnglish, I am already in the 5th season of my dynasty. What do you think this patch will do for my dynasty? Will it replace the rookies that were generated at the end of the 1st season, or will it make it in such a way that the upcoming rookies can be drafted in my 6th season? Or will it flat out not work for my dynasty? I hope it works for mine, coz I really don't want to restart my dynasty. I want to experience going through all 25 seasons for the 1st time ever.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

It is very close to being done. I'm just waiting for sabo52 to hit me back up with some ratings and I am trying to find some faces for the players who do not have real faces created for them yet. Like just as an example, Using Ea's original david lee face for someone like Fazekas or Aaron Gray.

I never had a crash editing ratings, but if it tends to happen I guess you could just open the ratings.bat with notepad and edit the draftees ratings in there then save it and then run the bat in your dynasty. Also I do believe it should work in any year of a dynasty.

EDIT: Just to let everyone know I am experiencing some random crashes in 1 on 1 rookie scouting. Not sure why yet.

this is exactly one reason for him not to say the date. because nobody truely knows. he does not spend his life making mods and addons like this. it is done when he is done with other more important things in his life.
