I haven't done it as yet but it's easy enough to do. There have been other priorities since that won't be a problem to implement.

[quote="cj_miranda23"the main problems is the headband were even though u convert it from 08 to 06 it will still not be compatible, why? I don't know the answer . The solution to that is we need to edit the headband using EBO editor to fit and I'm no expert on that sir [/quote]

That's pretty much the only problem, they look good enough otherwise.

I've finished the 08 and 07 updates, which means I have the resources to update the 06 rosters without too much trouble. I can't set any dates but I'm now turning my attention back to the project and as I mentioned before, will try to put something together with what we have already (and anything else that comes in before I finish assembling said package).

Except cyber faces, portraits, dunk packages, moved player ages, what about aiact, is it improved or the same, what else will be new?
If you need help with rosters, moving players ages or something like that, let me know, i will try to help you...

Cheers!!

I've been using Pdub's aiact. From memory I included it in v0.3 anyway.

Andrew, I have spree's old roster and I noticed that some of the players have the correct hair ex. Balkman, Morrison and Hermann. The only problem was Carmelo's, his cornrows are cut short....I hope Spree woul be interested in helping the project

As far as i know correct hair has little to do with the roster you are using. No matter if you are using Andrew's Beta 3 or Spree's it's all about the fsh and ebo files. Good news is that you are having correct working hair ebo's for Balkman, Morrison and Herrmann so please send the face and hair files to Andrew. My Herrmann and Balkman are not working correctly no matter which roster i'm using. My Morrison has correct hair so i can also send that to Andrew.

We can only use art that we have permission to use. If narcius says it's OK then including them won't be a problem.

Correct, it's the face/headshape/hair files themselves that ensure correct appearance, not the rosters (aside from heigh and body model, of course, which are governed by values in the databases).

Andrew, i have found some great court patches that would be great for NBA Live 2006 and i think that bryan055 would agree to let them to you. If you like them and if you would like to get them in this project i will ask bryan055 for approval?
Is that ok?

Here you go the link so you can see how great they are...

Andrew, i saw this lately so i don't know is it a mistake or this was like this always.
When starting NBA Live 06 and when i see logos of a teams, in the middle is logo of Seattle and it is written Seattle and in the upper right corner is the logo of the New Orleans but it it is written Oklahoma, i don't know did i screw up something or it was always like that?

Sure. As I said, so long as we have permission to use a patch it's no problem.

The logos splash screen definitely doesn't have that mistake by default. It sounds like you've got a custom logo screen patch installed.

Andrew, can you use Darko Milicic headband from NBA 07 or 08 and include it ti the beta art pack, because, Darko Milicic has very ugly hair?

I would use it myself but i don't have NBA 07 or 08.

And will the beta art pack include upgraded jerseys?

Cheers!

No, the headshape/hair files from 07 and 08 will not work properly in NBA Live 06. That's why we need them to be converted in the first place.

Yes, the proper pack will include the jerseys we have already.

Thanks, and sorry for so many questions.
I have contacted Bryan and asked him if he would like to give you permission to use his court patches, they will be finished in a few days. I will let you know what is his answer.

Andrew, is there any way to change the color of Darko Milic hair by using CDBF - DBF Viewer and Editor? Or maybe some other way?
I have posted this question in its tread but i doubt that someone will answer so i wanted to ask you. I have created player and ad him the portrait but now i cant change his face and body in my game, the head is black. Why is that? I didn't change face id, i have left it like it was, its not -1, it is 100. What should i do so i can change my players face and body?
Also if i change " ISGENERATE " to true, i want have a portrait but than i can change my players looks, but if i change " ISGENERATE " to false, i will have his portrait but than his face will be black and i cant change it.

And Andrew, mshooter24 has agreed and you can use his court patches for this project.

This is the link of his court patches:

No, anything to do with faces or hair requires you to change the art/shape files themselves, as necessary.

Sounds like you've got his ISCREATED attribute set to False, which would prevent you editing his facial features as the game won't recognise him as a created player.

But if i change it to True, then, his portrait is gone but i can change his face and body, very strange?

Also, i have noticed on your thread http://nbalive06.nba-live.com/index.php?go=dbf-players that you wrote that PLAYERPKG is Cyberface ID, but i dont have Cyberface, but if i leave it empty, i cant find my players portrait, and FACEPATCH: Player uses a face patch (TRUE/FALSE), but i cant find this option?
Is there something else i could try?

PLAYERPKG is a value that points to art files, specifically the cyberface and portrait. I don't think NBA Live 06 actually has that database option anymore so I might have left that in the guide by mistake.

Andrew, will the new teams logos from this tread viewtopic.php?f=59&t=62661 be included in your new art update, i saw that chris gave you his permission so i wanted to ask you just in case?

And, what about mshooter24 court updates, will they will be included, he gave you permission also?

Narcius also gave you permission to use his player portraits update. Here is the link viewtopic.php?f=80&t=60696&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

And i have made Darko Milicic hair and now he looks normal, so if you need it i can send it to you?

Cheers!

As I said before, I intend to use anything we have permission to use or people directly contribute. If I miss something on the first pass through (I at least want to make sure I've got the essentials first) then we can put together subsequent full packages and missing file packs. I must stress that missing and redesigned art (eg Seattle to Oklahoma City) will have first priority, then enhancements to existing designs that remain unchanged. For example, a Thunder court would be a priority for the initial release, a Bulls court would not. That said, whatever we've got I'll try to get into v1.0.

Andrew, if you could tell me how to change shoot distribution by cpu? I want to make it little diferent, i wanna make cpu shot more mid range shoots and a little less 3pt. I have aiact included in your last update.
I think i play very good defense but teams always shoot around 30 3pt per game and i think its a little too much.

Thanks!

There's no rating in the DBF that governs that per se, at least not globally. You can try reducing an individual player's THREEPTATT attribute though, the values are percentages (eg a value of 17 means 17% of their attempts will be three pointers).

Fumanchu,
http://nbalive06.nba-live.com/index.php?go=dbf-players

There you will find almost everything you need to know about about dbf. editing, and what does every thing mean. Its Andrew's
guide and its very good, i really liked it.

Cheers!
