:? I don't know why..., if you copied playmap.dbf to My Documents/NBA Live 06/Database/currentdb it should be fine...and it worked for "P4v3l"
Can you say me the team you're using? So I can see if I had a little error.

Thanks for all your comments!! :)

I still forgot to post the other plays

Calvenn wrote:Fantastic work dr13, we truly appreciate your efforts. Quick question for you. I'm not so sure that my offensive quick plays are showing up properly in the game. As you outlined, I copied the playmap.dbf to the currentdb, then teams.dbf to the saves.

The Team Strategy shows up fine, however the offensive playbook seems outta whack! Example the last 4 plays don't correspond with what playmaker assigned. Maybe 1 or 2 plays line up, that's it!

Can you confirm that I'm copying to the right folder? Any other suggestions to test this out properly?

Thanks again.

You should wait a minute then the other plays will line up again.

I have already explained how to use these things in dynasty, like 10 posts back in this thread.

Thanks for responding everyone. drawkl, how do you mean? Are you experiencing the same deal? Do you mind elaborating?

Thanks

Imho dr13 was quite clear, I've played a couple of dinasties for 3-5 years each and got no problems.

Sat Oct 22, 2005 7:05 am

Wow the rebounding re rate...its great for played games but, the rebounding sim stats are so far off its ridiculous. Corey Maggette led the league with 12 rebs a game. So I m gonna just go back to the regular rebounding attributes cuz your dynasty stats will be so far off in rebrounding.

I personally, would have just lowered all offensive rebounding ratings for every player and left the defensive ratings alone.

I had met the same deal several time.In my opinion you should just pull the scroll bar up and down and the other plays will line up again.

Sat Oct 22, 2005 3:24 pm

Yeah playmaker, that fixed it, all i did was fix the off rebounding and it seemed to have fixed it to a certain extent. Although KG only averaged 12 rebs, whereas he should be around 14.

Can someone please tell me how can i access the markings on the court when i run a play? Like when i'm playin on rookie and set up a play, there are markings on the court and it tells me where to go so that the play can be used. But when i play on Super star and double tap the Dpad to call a play, there are no markings and it doesn't tell me where i should go.

Press the off ball button after you call a play.

The off button? You mean the off-player button and it will show you wear to go on the court?

You must call a play at first, then press the off-ball button and the marking will on the court.

Thanks for posting most plays so far.

Still looking foward to your descriptions of the missing plays. There also seems to be a left and right options if the play is part of your strategy setting. In other words, it seems that the plays are run on both sides of the court when part of strategy.

Can you please comment on this?

Mon Nov 07, 2005 12:58 am

yeah let us know when u get those def. plays figured out and that DPMAIN i dunno how u do it man!

FINAL BASE PLAYBOOKS) For Rosters up to 11/18/05

I went and re-built each teams playbook based on their personel as of 11/18/05. The Mavericks Playbooks is based upon how they utilize Dirk Nowitzki mostly on the perimeter. In order to accomplish this and make him effective in the game when you play Dallas you can use either one of their two playbooks. The second Playbook is more perimeter oriented but Dirk will have to be switched to SF and Josh Howard to PF during the starting lineup. You'll have to assign them to defend their natural posistion on defense in the playbooks settings. Atlanta and Los Angeles have assigned Playbooks for Johnson and Odom as I mentioned before if you choose to use those players as PG's. Otherwise you can stick with their original Playbooks that were assigned.

Me...

But I prefer waiting for the last plays set, and Playmakers said he has to work with teams like Atlanta and LA.

I'm having a hard time, studying at the same time for final exams in the last year of school and at the same time, for an admission exam un university, so don't expect to see me that much...

Wed Nov 09, 2005 9:24 am

Good luck on your studies, there's really no rush. As you can see, you guys (You and Playmakers) have a great following here and we eagerly anticipate your releases :D

Keep us updated and let us know if you've also made any sort of progress with the defensive sets? This would add tremendously to the different defensive schemes and looks for every team.

Thanks.

I made slight modifications to some teams playbooks. I placed an asteric (*) next to each team that was updated.

The Lakers and Hawks Playbooks are adjusted only if you use Lamar Odom and Joe Johnson at PG for those teams. Otherwise you can stick with their original Playbooks assigned. The Updated Playbooks are a few post up on this page.

i hope you could also have your updated dbf file available for download. it is easier to copy/paste. thanks man. great contribution. more power to you!

hey dr13 should we always reselect the human team's playbook again and again starting a match or do I miss something? By the way thanks for your effort

dr13 wrote:[...]
But I searched I ton of files hoping at least to find the name of a defensive play, to find then this number, but I've never seen this. And I tried changing values in playmap.dbf, in DEF_1,DEF_2,DEF_3 and DEF_4, 10 to 10 from 10 to 1200! But nothing.

If you can find these IDs and the way to change the defensive playbook, like other guys said here, Hats off to you! :) "

Well, if you take a look at the DEF columns in playmap.dbf you may notice that every number starts with "10xx". Maybe there is an offset of 1000 to every defensive play in these columns. So "1027" would mean "Double Team". (27 -> Double Team, like you figured out earlier)

Is there any way to test this ingame?
Since this plays only apply to cpu controlled teams, I'm not sure which defensive plays my cpu opponent uses.
