NBA Live Pilipinas is here!

Finally, after a month of preparation, the Filipino Patching Community has come up with a Local NBA Live Forum for Filipinos. Just like NBA Live Spain and NBA Live Turkey, we now bring you NBA Live Pilipinas. A new "pinoy" forum for the oppressed. Together with the patchers from UNLSC and a couple from PBA Live, and me from 4th-Quarter, we present to you a whole new forum wherein you can voice out what you think about the game together with the local Mods "Pinoy Patchers" brought to you. Para sa inyo to mga pare!

We are also inviting Filipino Patchers to join our Mod Projects as we grow to form a big community. NBA Live Pilipinas will feature the newest edition of the UNL Series (UAAP-NCAA Live 06) which will be launched soon. Also, we are looking for active Filipino patchers to join our Patching Team to contribute on our other upcoming Mods. I'd like to add one thing, we hold meetings here in the country for brainstorming ideas and such (Concerning mods/projects or wala lang ). So, ano pang hinihintay nyo? Sign-up na!

(Just kidding Pinoys. Quick question, why is basketball so big in the Phillipeens anyway? More than half of the guys at my local court are Pinoy.)

just a few reasons i can think of:

1. colonial mentality - filipinos are highly influenced by american culture.
2. history - the pba(philippine basketball association) is the oldest basketall league in asia.
3. convenience - easy to pick up and play practically anywhere.

the rest i'm sure you can think of yourselves since we're no different from any fans that love the sport. i guess we just stand out among our asian neighbors since our style of play is patterned more on the flashiness and athleticism of nba players, unlike other countries that highly prioritize fundamentals.

So it basically comes down back to when the Philippines when it was an American colony. Okay, thanks for the answer.
