How do you backdown if when you press the L trigger it does a free style superstar move?

Right analog stick down. It's kinda weird, and you have to hold it while you're backing down or he'll just do a drop step/spinoff or w/e.

i dunno. depends whether you use certain things or not, like if you dont use passing icons often, you could switch the two, though most ppl do use the icons. shit....well i guess we'll have to get used to inconvenient controls if we want to use freestyle superstars.

same, it gets way difficult, you always pass to the wrong guy without them, but it could be worse, we could have Xbox controllers, the black and white buttons would be the icons and like oop n stuff, thats even worse.

really? do you find it annoying? like inconvenient to have to reach across for the icons, as opposed to tapping a second trigger?

I'm used to it. I have my left pointer on my L1 and my left thumb on the joystick.

Then I used my right pointer for R1 and then my thumb for the letter buttons / black / white / free style stick. I'm pretty much used to it with my fast reflexes. :D

Just like text messaging for me..lol

i played the demo at eb games at the mall last wk on the ps2 console. L1 will back down ur defender when you are in contact with him and at the same time it activates the freestyle superstyle abilities. so the choice is urs. back down or dunk on him..lol :D

Maybe change the backdown button when you get the game to suit your style.

Going with a EA tradition, the "modifier"-key will be static. So, no re-mapping.
