DBF question

Postby fumanchu on Wed Sep 24, 2008 12:12 am

i created Goran Dragic

saved the roster then went out of the game to edit players.dbf

however, my created player is not there...i checked the WORKINGDB folder and goran is there....

can i just overwrite the players.dbf of my roster for the workingdb players.dbf file?

and why does my created player do not appear in my saved roster?

thanks...

You can overwrite it, but if you're willing to do this, overwrite also the appearance.dbf file.

I wouldn't overwrite it. Messing with the workingdb roster isn't really necessary, since it's only a temporary "working" directory for the game when it is running.

I hope you created your player in-game first, and then edited the players.dbf file of your saved roster. If not, you should create a blank player in-game, save the roster, then edit the saved dbf file and just copy your players values over that one and delete the entry that wasn't showing up. You should also put him on the free agents list and then go into the game to put him on a roster.
