FX5200 and Radeon 9550 good enough for '06 or not?!

Postby Dance123 on Sat Jul 01, 2006 12:01 am

Hi,

If I want to be able to play Live '06 with all graphic settings to max. and still have smooth framerates, which low-end APG should I buy best?!

Are following cards at cheap price fast enough, also at high settings, or won't I get fluid framerates:

- Asus V9520X-TD FX5200 8x - 128 DDR
- Asus A9550GE TD Radeon 9550 - 128 - DVI/TV-Out

What are your recommendations?! It has to be an AGP card!!

By the way, are things like AA and AF settings important in a game like Live '06 or not.. which settings are required?!

Thanks for all good advice!! :)

that doesn't match. you can prolly but details high if you put it on the lowest resolution, but that looks crappier than high res with low detail.
if you want high details, you'll need to get a high-end card.

Dance123, i also have FX5200 and 512mb of RAM. settings are at max.
I'm tired of hearing about money, money, money, money, money. I just want to play the game, drink Pepsi, wear Reebok.

DUde, neither, they both suck. go to www.newegg.com , you will find some great deals there. See, FX5200 was a failier and between the two I would go with radeon 9550, but you could get 9800pro or even higher if you look around, for the same money.
