Getting rid of FSS

Fri Aug 04, 2006 4:01 am

Turning the abilities off is one way... But after trying that and running a dynasty, the abilities were again automatically enabled in the next season. And I could only change the superstars that were on my roster.

I noticed that for PS2, the online update gave the FSS ability to people who didn't have the required ratings. Maybe there's an opposite to this. Is there some way to permanently get rid of the FSS feature? Maybe setting certain values in the database or something?

in the players dbf, in the rightmost columns i believe, it shows which kind of FSS ability the player has. but i think if you disable everyone (by entering 0 for a value) it would just come back the next season.

I kinda wish that 07 will have an option to just turn off the FSS and have the player icons instead (Hand, Lock, Shoe with wing, 3) but i dont think that its gunna happen

I totally agree. The whole idea of FSS is great. I just feel like it wasn't presented well in 06. The fact that they made it more advanced in 07 doesn't excite me too much.

So for the DBF editing... I use DBF Plus. Is there anyway to select the entire column and have it set to 0? Or am I going to have to do it row by row?

row by row, thats why I use Excel or an alternative to Excel

So wait.. Are you saying that by using excel I CAN do it by columns?

No, Excel will mess up your .dbf files, don't use it.

I use CBDF for .dbf-editing, you can select multiple cells and delete them all in once with Ctrl+Delete.
