Forcing a trade?

Postby Evolution on Sat Jun 17, 2006 11:08 pm

Hey all, i searched for a topic like this just before posting this but i couldn't find an answer to my question.

I wanna know if i can force a trade, currently in my 08-09 season in Dynasty and after a gajillion trades, lots of game-time and modifying the cap i've almost got the lineup i've dreamed of, but i've decided i want Iverson as PG, Nash is getting annoying. So im trying to trade Nash for Iverson but the salaries don't even out so i threw in Ben Gorden and added a rookie (forgot his name) from the 76'ers to even out the salaries but they still decline the bastards.

So i can force this trade somehow or am i stuck with Nash?

Offer them player which they are interested in (full green bar) along with Nash and watch that salaries, so they should accept it.

Open players.dbf, put Iverson's team as Phoenix and Nash's team as 76ers.

If youwant to ship Nash away and acquire Iverson, I suggest switching around the player's position. For example, I'm guessing that Philly isn't interested in acquiring another point guard and Ben Gordon, but lets say they want a shooting guard. Simply edit Gordon's position so he's a shooting guard, and that generates more interest from the other team, which makes the trade a lot more probable.

Well you must have a bench warmer with at least half full a bar, trade him and steve
nash for 76'rs Allen Iverson, and another benchwarmer from there with no full green bar.
And make sure the salery is no more then 100k apart, thats what i always do.

When i was trying to trade them, the salary difference was about 8k, the green bar for nash was only about 10% full, the green bar for Antawn Jamison and Ben Gorden was about 80% full for both of them so i figured that a crap player plus iverson from the 76'ers and Nash plus either Gorden or Jamison would do but they still wouldn't do it (maybe because the green bars wern't being balanced out).

But i used DB Commander and i managed to move around Iverson and Nash but then when i played the 76'ers they had Nash PLUS 2 Iverson's which was funny because there were 3 Iversons on the court at one stage. So i went back to DB Commander and played around with Iverson's team numbers (one value for him was changed to the Lakers value, the other was changed to 40, i think that's the user value).

I found double entries for all my players so i figured that must mean that one entry was the original and the other was for the current user team, either way the team values for the 2 Iverson entries were changed to Lakers and 40(which i think is the user team value, not too sure lol) and Nash's team value were changed to the 76'ers number (which is 21).

So i now have my dream team, into my 4th season with extreme confidence, much different to when i started which was very tough to win especially against big teams like Detroit, Clevland, Phoenix, Miami and Houston. But now i can steamroll over them after a bajillion trades ofer the years and forcing Iverson over to my team. YAY! :D

Thanks everyone for the help.
