i want to add jerseys i downloaded off nbalive series downloads (Detroit tribute pack).
Ok this is what i did:
-Download ---- unrar
-Place the .viv file in sgsm/uniforms and then the .big files in sgsm
-opened team gear and i added the thing in teh read me (but i'm not sure if i added it right, so i need to knwo how to do that)
- it says load rosters, but i have no clue what that is?
so i just wanna know exaclty step by step cuz other tutorials have like place .viv files here and .big there and edit teamgear, how do i edit teamgear.

Anyway thx, if any can i would insanly appreciate it.... it's driving me crazy

'Load rosters' means you have to load a roster inside Live. Which teamgear.dbf did you edit (where was it)?

Sun May 07, 2006 5:00 am

k i opened my documents/nblive 06/ database/ currentdb
is that right? and now i did that and edittied it and svaed it but it said an error occured so i saved it as the one in programnd files under EA sports/nbalive 06/ database and then i opened nba live 06 and load and there was the jerseys, a pistons one with teh trophy, but i tried ghettign other jerseys and it didn't work, so i've onyl managed one. And when editting teh DBF i noticed that when i added a new field it was on teh top so that my id was 370 but at the top????/ i dunno, anywya which teamgera do i need to edit and which one do i save?

You need to edit the teamgear.dbf from My Docs/NBA Live 06/saves/whatever. If that folder doesn't exist, start Live, and save a roster (Options>Load/Save). What program are you using to edit the teamgear.dbf?

Sun May 07, 2006 5:48 am

CDBF for windows

Sun May 07, 2006 6:21 am

Well, you need to add a new line at the bottom (go to the last line and press the down arrow on the keyboard, maybe) and add the info. Then go back and load that roster.

nope it doesn't work oh well. THX, but i have one more question. What if i created my own jerseys? Do i create them in photoshop or in jersey raptor or what? I can find a tutorial just what program do i use. And if i were to make my own woudl i have to go thro teh whole process of placing .viv files and .dbf files and etc...

Sun May 07, 2006 7:32 am

Yeah, you would. What exactly did you do to try to get them to work? I'm sure I can help you get it right.

if you send me the readme and a roster folder I will create the line for you and all you will have to do is put the roster back in the saves and make sure the .viv is in sgsm/uniforms and .big is in sgsm

Hey Cable Guy. I loaded the retro Rosters 45 last night and went to bed almost there but missing one key direction. You brought it home in this thread. I kept trying to update the current dbf. The key was saving the new roster and then updating the Teamgear.dbf in the saves folderin the MyDocuments/NBALive06 and reloading that roster in the game. Thanks a bunch now I am in business with baseline_bum's awesome series of jerseys. I was just looking and didn't the puke lime green hawks of 71/72 have a white stripe too? I digreess. I am not a big poster but here's to Cable Guy for being a nice guy. It helped out this old ABA fan! THANKS! :D
