hi guys,

i am new to this forum but i have been playing nba live for years

i have read your posts on playbooks but i have a question that you guys might have a quick answer to

basically i know how to call a play (by double tapping a direction on the directional pad) but i dont know how to RUN the play..

i know that theres a circle where you run your PG to, but no circles pop up on my game??? is there a setting i have missed ??

your help will be greatly appreciated

Hey, welcome to the forum (y)
If you play the game on the lowest difficulty setting, you'll get the arrows and stuff on the court; so what you could do is play a little on the lowest setting just to get the hang of the different plays.
It would have been better though if EA had put the option to turn it on or off in the menu's rather than restricting it to the Rookie setting..

Yeah, that really sucks. What you can do is take a close look at the positions when you set up the play. Once you move your PG in the designated spot, the play will begin and you can improvise your way through. Definitely something to be improved...

There's a button to view the play after calling it, can't remember which but it's definetley there and works on all difficulties. I think it is the off-the ball button but don't quote me on that

They definately need to bring back the animated play diagrams (as well as all the real offenses that they inexplicably removed, like Triangle, Flex, Double High, etc.) My reccomendation for learning the plays is to set the difficulty to beginner, set the camera to overhead, and then spend an hour doing nothing but calling various plays and watching the players move to see how things go. Play no defense (intentionally move your players out of position), so that you get the ball back quicker. The descriptions in the playbook thread are also useful.

Did you pressed the right analog stick after calling the play? a circle , a star sometimes an arrow will pop up when you press the analog stick to show which direction your pg will go..
