crash/freezing...

Postby h2oh on Sat Apr 15, 2006 1:43 pm

Hello,
I have a
Toshiba Satellite-
win xp
intel Pentium(R) M processor 1.86 GHz
1.06GHz, 512MB RAM
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6600 (updated)
DirectX updated to the latest

The game ran perfectly fine for the first month or so...
If I put the setting on high, there's incredible amount of lagging... well at first I thought it was lagging, but then it's frozen for few mins and then runs again and then freezes.
If I put the setting on the lowest possible detail, even sound and crowd all turned off, it runs okay. BUT whenever a Stopper does a block and the ball goes outside and does that little celebration thing it freezes again, also during timeouts when people gather around it freezes, and freezes again at the worst possible time... FREETHROWS!! I turned off foul sensitivity , in air collision pretty low but when I'm winning by 10 points or less for the last minute, they start fouling like crazy, freezing my game that was pretty much won.... Also, screen goes black during some of these frozen status...

If anyone can help, please.... help me.. I would really appreciate it..
playing with no sound and not being able to finish games up unless I'm winning by 20-30 points is not fun (and hard to do sometimes)

get a gig of ram and a new processor, try reinstalling, you can copy your saves and sgms folder so you dont have to redo all the patches you've downloaded.

I have tried reinstalling but didn't work...
the gig of ram and new processor idea... my roommate's has a lower spec than me in everything except he also has 512MB RAM and a ATI graphic card... he can run it without problem... so I don't think that will do

try reformatting then, or maybe theres a corrupt file in your game so you need a new copy

unless you could figure out the file and have someobdy send you that particular file

Hi,

my game always crashes! What ever I Do, it crashes after 1-10 Minutes and goes back to the Desktop.
I tried new Drivers, changed the Sound Accelerator, did everything, used the standard Rosters and have no patches installed, it just keeps chrashing and crashing and crashing! I have no more ideas, this ist just soooo sad.

My PC:

Athlon AMD 2600+
ATI X800 Pro 256MB
1024MB RAM
DirectX 9.0c

Do you guys perhaps have an idea?

This even happend after a Format C: and a clean windows XP intall and NBA 2006!

This cannot be true !!

Maybe you can help me !! :(

Thanx.
Greets from Germany!
