no because they REPLACE textures used in the game.

If you import it then its replaceing them. If you drop it in the sgsm does it slow it down then?

I remember there were some issues with it back in NBA Live 2004 but I don't believe there's any significant slowdown with customart this year.

I think if the resolution of the textures in the patch is higher, it will slow down you game a little bit. Like if all your shoes in the game are in 512x512 rather than the regular 128x128, it will affect the game somewhat. Not particularly much though, but a little bit, yea..

Okay, I just thought that if you had a completely patched up game, TNT Add On, Shoes, Jerseys etc, vs a blank non patched person it would add some lag or whatnot.

Yes it does i have a very fast machine alien ware and my game runs perfect..after reinstalling live without patches it was amazing
