I definitely lean towards Outside Scorer, if I indeed decide to give him FSS abilities.

I did opt for Outside Scorer, so we'll see how that goes. It didn't take too much boosting at all, hardly anything unrealistic so I was comfortable in doing so. You can always disable his Outside Scorer FSS if you don't want him to have those abilities.

Mr Big Shot

Postby DanteDolge on Fri Mar 31, 2006 1:41 pm

Chauncey should be a shooter before Rip hes been a better outside shooter than ,Rip untill recently they all should be freestyle superstars the pistons are still one of the only teans that dosent have to worry about one guyputting up big numbers to win the game.Ttheyhave won the eastern confrence title four years in a row incuding this year andtheir going to finals and their going to beat the spurs too

hold up, hold up there hot rod, they might go and win the eastern conference and are going to lose in the FINALS to the Spurs, like always, like last year

Pistons are one of the best teams in the NBA, but I disagree when you said the starters should be Freestyle Superstars all of 'em.....................HELL NO!

y'all aint the Bulls, back when Jordan was playing

Quite possibly, but that doesn't have anything to do with my roster update for NBA Live 06. ;)

I really think you should re-consider making him an outside scorer - it might suit his stats, but if you watch him play, you'll never see him make those Kobe/T-mac up and under, or behind the back moves.

Rip is a pop up shooter, and is often compared to Reggie Miller for his style of play. I have made him a shooter myself, because it really fits the Detroit kind of play to have him use a baseline screen and pop up for a quick release midrange jumper :D

I really don't want to be switching him back and forth every update. If you don't want him to have the abilities, just disable them in Roster Management.

People getting so upset about wanting things changed to exactly what THEY think is right.... perhaps they don't know they can just go change it themselves to whatever their preference is?

why would anyone want to get off their lazy ass and do it when they can have someone do it for them, if they bitch about it enough?

Well, the idea of having a comunity is to exchance our thoughts and ideas about this game (and in particular, how we we can try to make it better).

As I said in my previous post, I allready DID change him to a shooter myself, I am just trying to contribute to YOUR gameplay experience by suggesting a change that would make playing the Pistons a more realistic experience for everybody else...

I really don't get the flaming here - Aren't the purpose of this forum to discuss what would make the next patch even better? I am a big fan of your work Andrew, and just wanted to help out.

I didn't say "Hey grusom!"... I wasn't even talking to you- you were intelligent and polite. I was talking to the people who got angry. :)

Ok but not offensively. They mostly have good basketball IQ, but do not rely on superstar abilties to score.
