When you guys talk about 'patches'; roster updates; etc.

When ever I see one of these type posts, I can simply ignore it if I ONLY play the game on the Xbox? I don't think there is a way to 'patch' anything, or change rosters, sounds, shoes, etc. if you are on an Xbox .... Of course there is the standard stuff you can do in the NBA Store, etc.

But, am I right in saying that the game itself never changes one bit/byte from the time is 1st sold till its end of life (If you are using an Xbox)?

you cannot mod or patche the console versions besides the roster updates that you can download from xbox live/ps2 online

what about people with modded xboxes? is it still impossible to change jerseys or anything at all?

its still possible for 06, i've never tried it, but heard it was very hard. and you needed like special software.

ya i was talkin to this friend of mine who was playin live 06 for xbox and i told him he should get it for pc because there is so much modability and versatility for it. I said you could get updated rosters and new jerseys and cyberfaces and he said he could do all that too, but i'm thinking it was more of a stubborn way of saying he wouldnt admit he was wrong, lol

he does have a modded xbox though and he does lots of stuff you probably "shouldnt" do on an xbox

I've heard it's possible to make updates for the Xbox version, but you can't use patches intended for the PC version with any of the console versions. All patches are for the PC version unless otherwise noted.
