help me please

Mon Apr 03, 2006 3:53 am

i don't wanna adjust my sliders, but i really need help knocking down the three point shot.

i often shoot with players with a 70 or above in 3 point shooting, but never seem to get the shot to fall.

i get great open looks with the inside out play of throwing it down low and kicking it back out, but the shot misses.

i get this look about 40 times a game and often pass on it just cause they never hit.

i went to practice and learned how to release it better, but in the game it doesn't seem to matter.

what's the deal kin folk?

Don't know, but i just release the ball at highest point and it goes in every time and i play on superstar.

yeah i play on superstar also. maybe i'm holding the damn button too long.

Yeah that could be your problem.Go play and release a 3 and go to instatn replay the look at your jumpshot it will be a great help to you because you will now what are you doing wrong.

thanks pimpin.

i just played a game where i hit 6 of 12 from down town. i think i can do way better than this tho.

the replay thing is somthing that i never thought of.

i'ma give it a shot.

6/12 and you want to do way better? thats really high, especially when you look at 3pt percentages in real NBA games.

If you practice, which I'm sure you're now doing you can hit at least 75-80% with a good three point shooter. :)

take shots from the corners.

samson, i think you've posted almost a similar thread before regarding this topic? am i right that it's you? have you tried playing on rookie level? you'll drain almost all of your 3pt attempts there.

i strongly suggest that you experiment with the release of the ball. if you shot 6/12 in superstar, i think that's good especially when some of them are contested. but if all 12 attempts are wide open, then you have a problem with either the lag on your pc (assuming you're using pc) or maybe.. just maybe.. the reaction rate of your nervous system. :P try playing with minimum resolution.

oh sorry samson, it was not you. it's this tmac guy that had the same problem.
