Over the years...

I'd like to see how players' ratings have changed over their careers in NBA Live titles. I remember Jordan had a 96 average on NBA Live '96, but I'm interested to see how other players have been rated each year throughout their careers by EA.

It'd be like watching how players actually develop over time, like in dynasty mode. Can some of you guys help me out?

From about 92-93 to 96-97 I followed NBA basketball. Then I moved to the UK and until I found torrents to download in the 04-05 season I've been mostly ignorant to what happened, so for me personally I'd like to know what players were good, and when.
For instance it seems the Sacramento Kings had a pretty awesome team a few years back and CWebb was Mr.Awesome for a while, but I wasn't around for any of that, unfortunately :(

Well a hell of a lote has changed since the turn of the century. Kiss Allen Houston goodbye, KG isnt a perrenial playoff leader, and people like Stephon Marbury, Jason Kidd, and Chris Webber, arent shoe ins for the allstar game. I think it'd be neat if andrew or one of the other analysts at the NLSC did a "How the League's changed, 1998-2006, or 2000-2006" type feature, or what has changed since the new millenium.

Matthew and I might be able to do something with that. (Y)

As far as overall rating in NBA Live is concerned...it's kind of difficult since the overall rating isn't always calculated the same way, with different weightings throughout the years and the switch from the 50-99 range to 0-99. A 64 overall player these days is a lot better than it used to be.

Oh yeah, that'd make it a bit more difficult. Maybe it'll be like looking back on some of Chamberlains ridiculous stats back when he was God in a league of journeyman.
