Marbury's Freestyle superstar problem

There seems to be a problem with Stephon Marbury's freestyle superstar abilities after loading the roster patch both uninjured and current rosters are affected. When using the button combination for either the switch hands/pump layup or behind the back lay up Marbury just throws the ball like a sissy as it does sometimes when initiating this move from too far. But this is from everwhere except from under the ring. When under the ring he just fakes a one handed shot when from the standing position. The other 2 button combinations i.e. runner and clutch shot, work as normal. I fixed it by changing his ability to playmaker then changing it back to outside scorer. However, after doing this he then dunks like hes vince carter. His rating remains the same for dunk and jump but he is able to do 360s and hard throw downs like players with dunk ratings in the high 80s and 90s. Im not sure if anybody else experienced this but if it is a problem within the roster then im sure andrew can fix it. thanx!

P.S. was also wondering if certain rookies jerseys in the rookie challenge eg chris paul and villanuevas can be changed to the alternate ones they used in the event this yr for the next patch?

Answered you're own question. He does it because he's too far away from the basket

Nope even from close he does it. test it if u want. its esp bad if u want to do the up and under layup u always see AI doing the way outside scorers do... He just does that sissy throw thing right from under the ring -_-

I think because he's an outside scorer, you have to start from the inside, drive in and then press it. Run towards the basket, not away or across it.

yeh i do that the way any other outside scorer works. It works for the others ive used but specifically for marbury it does this not sure y tho... maybe something to do with the dunk packs? thatd explain why he can all of a sudden dunk like crazy after changing his superstar ability.

Nothing I've done in the update will cause a problem like that with FSS. I might have to check out his DUNKPACK though.

yeh its very wierd... seems to be normal when the patch isnt loaded tho. im leaning towards the dunkpack bcoz he can suddenly dunk when changing his freestyle to playmaker while he cant dunk when the roster is originally loaded. The freestyle issue is ok since after changing to playmaker and changing back to scorer the abilities work as normal but its the dunking that becomes the problem after that. just wanted to let u know if it could be a possible issue.

Also is there anyway to change the rookies jerseys to the ones they used in the rookie challenge? the specific ones are:

Chris Paul: Alternate Hornets
Charlie Villanueva: Alternate Raptors
Danny Granger: 06 Pacers away
Sarunas Jasikevicius: 06 Pacers away

If so could they be implemented into the next patch?

Unfortunately that's no longer possible with the jerseys. It was achievable through Customart patching a few years back but not anymore.

i had the same problem he had with marbury with oscar robertson (from the all-stars) in an earlier version of the patch

i didn't play with him since that, maybe it works now

I haven't changed any of Oscar Robertson's ratings so I'm not sure that's the patch's doing.

I have the exact same problem....its only after changing them from Scorer->Ball handler-> Scorer....does it go back to normal...

Well like I said, I'll check it out. If it's something I can fix, I'll certainly try.

Oh yep didnt mean to sound abrupt etc, just pointing out that changing the FSS definitely resolves it temporarily.
