You can. All you need to do is edit their date of birth information in players.dbf, specifically the year. More info on players.dbf fields and values here.

For the playersdbf thing, when you're scolling down the names, will the name appear more then once?

Some players occur more than once as they appear on multiple teams (All-Stars, Decade All-Stars, Legends Pool, Rookie/Sophomore teams, International/Euro/Reebok All-Stars & Young Guns).

if your using DBF commander then make the change then click the tick button
i dont know if you need to change one or both, remember to always make back ups of files before you edit them

You'll need to change the player that's on an active NBA roster (ie all of his TEAM related values are within the range of 0-29) if you want it to take effect in a Dynasty. Editing the other occurrences of the player won't hurt but won't achieve the results I'm guessing you're after.

One last question, when will the DBF commander come into play? Like if you changed a players age, will it change the player's age(in the game) right away? :?

The best way to edit roster data is to save the roster, open the dbf file in the appropriate save folder, make the changes and then re-load the rosters from Load/Save within the game.

sometimes if you've got the game open and try to alter the dbf, it cant because the file is in use. so its best to have nba live closed
