CPU speed matches or not

Sun Jan 29, 2006 3:40 am

I was playing 06 with Celeron 1.7 and then i got Pentium 2.4 GHZ processor. At first sight, there was a incresement for game performance but then I HAD TO decrease details because there wasn't a syncronization between graphics...

This issue is like that F1 2002, another EA Sports game.
Both of the systems has the same graphic card GeForce 4 Mx440, old card.

I mean, if i upgraded my CPU, why do i have to decrease graphic level???

I think graphic card cannot render as fast as CPU?

Thanks.

You see, your problem is simply your video card. Your processor doesn't have (much) of a hand in the graphics department. Go to your local computer store and talk to them for a good video card fix for you rig. (Y)

I know Intel P4 2.4 GHZ nearly kills Celeron 1.7, but then CPU supplies more oppurtunities to render, to display better graphics, but graphic card's speed (old GeForce 4 MX440) doesn't allow to syncronize...

So i had to decrease detail level to get syncronized graphic performance...

I must confess that P4 2.4 makes 06 much smoother than Celeron 1.7 GHZ. But in the other hand, graphic card is important as much as CPU.
Am i right?

Yeah, hardware compatibility of PC for gaming is too complex. What do you say about console such as PS2 maybe PS3 in future?

Not really.

You just need to read the bottom of the box first and see if you meet the requirements.

Kinda like buying a game for the N64 that requires a rumblepak, but you don't have one.

Wrongo. System reqs. simply provide the hypothesized hardware requirements to run the game. This doesn't mean to run the game at maximum detail and maximum resolution. Its the bare minimum, and by bare, I mean BARE. And T-MAC, don't go near the PS2; there's no point. The game runs at a lower resolution on the PS2 and XBOX and besides, you can't install add-ons like updated rosters and jerseys. But in case of the PS3? Let's wait and see if the price doesn't reach the 4 digits.

Yeah, but EA's system reqs are too unrealistic...

Even you can configure fast enough system by experiences...

Yeah, PS2 cannot present updates, but it presents a REGULAR performance...
