development questions

Postby shmupy12345 on Sun Dec 18, 2005 5:34 am

Hello, I'm new to the forums. I have some questions about the PC version.
Maybe they we asked here before, but here goes:

1. can a player develope his ratings to a point where he becomes a superstar with a freestyle ability?

2. can a superstar player develope to a point where he has a new freestyle ability?

The next question are more general, than related to development in Dynasty mode:

3. How can I do Ally-Hoops in the slam-dunk contest\school in the PC version of the came?
Is there a key combination for the keyboard?

Go to the General Issues forum and check the thread about using the keyboard to box out. There's a way that you can use a couple of alleyoops.

10x 4 the reply.

About the development, am I told about the player that developes the freestyle skills?
Like on the PDA or something?

For example, let say that in the Chicago Bulls, I want Eddy Curry to become a Big Man - i.e. "Power".
How can I tell that he's close?

Is there a minimal rating score that a player needs?

And about the keyboard, can someone give a link to that post, because I can't find it using the search. 10x

thanks everyone.

The one about freestyle players realy hit the mark.

The keyborad thread helped also.
It took time to understand how to put in the keys i wanted.
All i have to do now is to leard how to do Ally-Hoops.

if you are looking at Eddie Curry inparticular, after 1 season of Dynasty Mode he progressed to a POWER Freestyle Superstar.

i now have 4 Freestyle Superstars on the Bulls, my question is, is there a limit to the amount of superstars u can have, and whats the limit of improvement?

i have a player thats got a 66 Overall ratings, he's 3 yrs Pro, After hitting about 10 3's per game and scoring over 53 points in one game i'm wondering how much he can improve on his ranking of 66. (i am on Starter level by the way, not Rookie, and i did have it on 8 minute quarters)

Thanks

There's no limit for Superstar players on your team. And the players don't improve based on his perfomances in-game. It depends on their "Destiny".

Destiny?

Postby Lord_Muck on Tue Dec 20, 2005 3:08 pm

oh ok, i've been coaching this guy like crazy so hopefully he will improve. What happens at the end of the Dynasty then, surely there's none of the original players left by that point?

You get a card showing your stats as GM. And probably there won't be any guys left. Maybe young guys like Howard or LeBron, but that's about it.

Sorry for asking a possible silly question.

How do these "superstar" ratings..highflyer, playmaker etc... affect the players performace? Is it realistic?

Also, do you have to "enable" these abilities?

I am playing in a dynasty and notice that some players have these designations.

Is it worth trying to train ur guys to get these designations? If yes, whats the benefit?

Thanks
