Anyone notice the amount of last second shots the cpu makes?

Postby Abctest123 on Fri Dec 09, 2005 12:56 pm

ive been annoyed by this a lot, when im playing the computer, every quarter other than the 4th, most of the time, the cpu will try and make a hail mary from about half court or a little bit over half, they'll make it a 75% of the time. sometimes it may be after the buzzer (mostly IS before the buzzer goes), but still they make most of their last second half court shots. my last case being damon stoudamire. theres 1.2 seconds left in the first half, hes a little over my half when he gets the inbound, he lets it go right before the buzzer, nails it. other people that have scored on me with hail marys include Al Harrington  , Shaq   , yes i did say shaq, as in shaquille oneal, with fucking chris bosh and and villanueva in his face, and many more. anyone else experience this?

Not so often from halfcourt and beyond. The CPU tends to make baskets after time expires however (and have them count). I had a particularly frustrating experience in my Dynasty last year, which led to an overtime loss.

watcha talkin bout? shaq is a great clutch shooter from halfcourt...
same as all the other 0-rated 3point shooters who seem to always make their attempts

yet on another note, you may only be remembering the one that do go in, and not every other shot they go for that doesnt go in... know what im saying?

Ah who really is supose to have "skill" in full court shots. All you do is Lob the damn thing. Lol

I would think the people with alot of slow and powerful would get closer then the quick and skinny.

While smaller people are having to sling it down court. Someone like shaq could shoot it like a regular shot.

Well never mind thats dumb of me I definately don't want to get into a debate about who's the better full court shot. LOL

Yes, I agree EA always lets the computer hit shots while you usually got a guy on whoever is shooting it for the CPU. Then youre wide open every time and hardly ever hit a full court.

I notice a crazy shot that goes in from far away alot. Stand at the 3-point line and hit X and Y exactly at the same time. Thats the Pro-hop/rebound button and the pass/playerchange button at the same time. Weird shot! Lol

Oh yea one thing that really confused me untill tonight was this...
