Created Players Disappear

I'm using Andrew's roster and had a problem with created legends disappearing after one season. If, for example, you acquire Jordan, then after one season his roster spot says "Starting SG" and he's gone.

So I tried creating a player, and then acquiring him from Free Agents. Same thing happens, he disappears and it says "Starting SG" or whatever position he held.

The test was done with a created player with MJs stats, and 15 years in the league.

He is not listed as retiring.

Other created players, say a created rookie, have not disappeared like this.

I'm aware of the problem, I'm not sure why it happens. It didn't happen in previous Lives when using the same method when adding new Legends.

The reason I posted again is it's not just Legends. I tried creating a new player named "Air Jordan" and placed him in Free Agents. Except for giving him great stats and me having the intention that this was MJ, to the game he's just another created player.

I've created other players that are rookies, and who do not disappear. This one was created as 15 years in the league, and maybe that's what causes the problem.

I've noticed the player doesn't disappear right away. If I look at roster after the season, but before I make any offers to re-sign players, he's still there. But once I make an offer to a player, he's gone with "Starting SG" in his place.

I tried changing the Andrew created legend MJ to 13 years in the league, but he still disappeared.

A new player I created with 15 years in the league disappeared.

A new player I created with MJ's date of birth but 14 years in the league did not disappear.
