Display problems in certain game modes...

Here are my specs:

AMD AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800+
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
512 MB memory
DirectX 9.0C

ATI Radeon 9800PRO 128MB
Driver: 6.14.10.6575
NVIDIA(R) nForce(TM) Audio (sound card)
Driver: 6.14.0462.0

Here is my problem:

NBA Live 06 runs smoothly for me but the problem is whenever I am in Individual Practice or 1 on 1 after a few minutes my monitor turns black even though the light is on. A message comes up telling me it's entering power saving mode. I can play Quick Game, Season, or even Dyansty modes without any problems. As you can tell I'm really confused and as usual EA is useless when it comes to customer service. Their suggestion of changing the refresh rate to 60Hz didn't make a difference. Any help would be appreciated :?

is the extra molex connected on your graphics card? looks like something isn't getting enough power.

an extra power supply for your graphic card. 9800 generally need power directly from the PSU.

Turn the power saving feature of your monitor off or just move your mouse around or press alt-tab when the black screen appears.
