if you want cheap games you better want lower production standards aswell. The take 2 sports games are only cheaper because they're trying to make ground on ea (given the massive head start). They've probably been setting themselves up for the next gen (in terms of install base) where the discount price will be reduced or dissapear entirely given the drastic increase in development costs.
my point is that budget prices for games is not a realistic expectation for games. ea only reduces the price because it's either they get them moved or they bury them in mexico. most games get 2 - 3 weeks on the shelf to sell well.. after that they reduce them in number or pull them completely.. the games industry lives and dies by full priced sales..
that said i picked it up for $69.95 AUD at eb games
