having trouble getting 05 files to work with 06

i think someone said that you can use 05 saves/roster files on 06, but everytime i try and load the new 05 roster update (final) the game crashes.

You cant use roster updates from 05 on 06

Some of the graphics are compatible but the roster patches won't be, as NBA Live 06 has additional dbfs and additional fields within some of the databases as well.
