Nobody talking about sliding? (and a few other q's)

a) I've read nothing about players sliding, which seemed to be one of the major gripes the past years, so is it gone?

b) Has anybody done any experimenting with the dbf-files yet? It should be a little different compared to last years.

c) So Andrew, any chance in making your fantastic retro-nineties-rosterpatch (was it 94-95, or 95-96?) work for 2006?? So much work and time went into that patch, I think it came too late for people to start enjoying it (nba live 2005 was knocking at the door, at the time if I recall correctly). It would be great to see it come back, if it were possible to convert it to nba live 2006 without too much trouble.

d) Still wondering, can you pass out of a layup or dunk?

cheers

a) unfortunately the sliding is still there.

Other than that, if you move the left-analog stick slowly to make your player walk slowly. You will notice that he is holding the ball just like he stick the ball on his hand...

if someone tried that he will understand what i mean

a) Not completely, though I think it's a bit less obvious this year.
b) Not yet
c) Can't say. It takes a lot of free time and I don't have as much of that these days
d) I have a feeling I've done it though I could be mistaken. You can interrupt a dribbling animation to pass though.

I always set the lay-up frequence to 75 on the sliders,, cuz I don´t want players dunking all the time. Specially those big players without authority, they dont dunk like that in real life...

The sliding seems even worse. When a point guard decides to drive, he'll push two or even three players to the basket and put up his shot.

If you try to get in front of a driving guard, he'll just slide around you and there's no way to stay in front of him.

A good combination of Roster and Better Set sliders reduces a lot the percentage of bad players finishing with authority.
